Interesting that you consider Fox to be mainstream. But yes, even as tongue and cheek as this report was, it is surprising that they covered something genuine.
Anyway, I've had another request. This one is just because it amused me.

I remember someone doing some investigation in that area. He ended up fighting Native American guardian spirits rather than catching any werewolves, however.

The Therian in question may have noticed they made the news and moved on. It's also possible that other Therians wishing to remain unnoticed made efforts to remove this Therian from potential scrutiny.
