If only such a scientific discovery and presentation of the facts could actually dispel the myths.
I keep talking like this, people are going to think I'm a skeptic or something.

The Mayan's seemed to understand that Time is not liner like most modern westerns think. it does not have a starting point or and ending point is cyclic and when you get to the end of a Cycle or a courcl your back where you started

Well, at least there's proof at least one group expected to be around for awhile.
Remember the Mesoamerican Long Count starts at a point long before the people using the calendar were around. Nothing says it didn't project into the future, too. Even without this there was nothing to suggest the calendar didn't just continue to roll.

I thought this was already well-established? My brother told me about it many years ago, anyway. Still, it’s nice to have “proof” for a change.
