Okay, so the title is intended to be facetious. Nevertheless, these lines have led to a great deal of speculation.

And the truth is, we don't really know what they are...

I would like to compare that to a ley line map... it could be evidence that some one marked them out for some reason. it could also be that we are looking at a net work of long forgotten roads. that's how we found some lost cities after all
