• Another Quake

Well we had another earthquake today I just read about. A 7.3 quake that struck the west coast from California Baja up into California itself. That makes the fourth quake to hit this year.
We had a big one in Hait, that one in Chili, one that struck in Mexco.

I even think I heard about one or two hittin' in Europe someplace. Maybe our Rusky friends would know more about that.

With all these quakes happenin' it just makes me wonder what might be the cause and why are they happein' so close together.
Doomsday religious wack job theories aside, could there be some supernatural reason behind these quakes? Could there be something burrowing around beneathe the surface?

Makes me wonder?

Legends from my home say that earthquakes are caused when the Mappo No Ryujiin stirs in her slumber. The norse say it is the midgard serpent's empty stomach rumbleing as he gnaws the roots of Ygrassil.

The seals are due to expire soon, and unless they are refreshed the time of men will vanish with them.

Did some research this weekend, CK International is steppin' up with some huge humanitarian relief aid plan. They have planes and supplies goin' to Hait, Chili, Europe, and western China.

Heck, they even have research and relief teams goin' to Iceland for that volcano they got blowin' up over there.

Makes me wonder?

While I disagree on what this guy claims is the reason, perhaps there is something unhappy with us trying to send us a message.

Earthquakes occur multiple times a day.
It's not the frequency that's increasing.
There's no special meaning here whatsoever.

Well it looks like someone tried to test the theory put forward by that cleric. The results indicate no definite relationship, though there was a 6.9 magnitude quake in Taiwan.

Dad wouldn't let me participate in the study, even when I told him it was for science.

I have to agree with skeptic on this one. Earthquakes are a fairly common event and usually preceed and follow volcanoes.

Ordinary occurances do not require extraordinary explanations.

Yes, but without my participation we won't be sure that we achieved the necessary immodesty to trigger a wrathful deity.

Yeah, I don't buy it either, but the top I picked out was pretty cute.

Anyway, I think we can safely rule out cleavage as a cause of earthquakes.

Any other ideas?

Actually, I may have one, what about that weather altering machine that Dad helped investigate a few years ago . . . maybe they have moved into plate tectonics?

Unless we're talking about nuclear detonations, I doubt they're going to appreciably affect fault lines to say nothing of the plates.

Has anyone considered the possibility of greater elementals. I hear that an angry one can cause quite a bit of damage. But it would not explain the locations. If so it would have to be more than one.

Maybe it is an elemental warlock with a grudge.

I don't know where else to go. I hope you all find yourselves well. Yes I'm still on the run. From what I've been able to glean the group that has been harrowing me for the last few months is a branch of a larger group calling themselves the "Iron Tanks" or something like it. Anyone with information on this can try to reach me here. Good luck to all who are in the fight and in the know.

I was at the epicenter when this happened. I admit I was not doing the good work we do at the time, I was chasing my own vices, but sometimes they both lead to the same path.
