Happy April Fool's Day

Well other than that today is the wonderful day that 9 years ago today my niece (now adopted daughter) Molly came into this world.
So I figured I would a shout out to Molly on her birthday as I said I would and maybe spread some happier news around after all that has being on.

It was appropriate she was born on April 1st, because Molly was supposed to be born a Michael. Thats right; the doctors read the sonagram wrong and said that she was supposed to be a he. To our suprise, and the doctor's, " Congratulations; it's a GIRL!?". True story.

Anyway; I figure if anyone has some good news or a funny story feel free to post it here. It might help lighten the somber mood round here.

Does it have to be related to April 1st? I can't think of any off the top of my head but feel good stories can happen any time of year.

It does not have to be related to April 1st. I just want to lighten the mood round here.

I have a good buddy I've worked with a lot. The guy is probably one of the unluckiest guys ever. No siblings and parents died when he was young. He was never able to maintain a relationship with a woman.

Then one Christmas he met this orphan girl. Her parents had died the year before.

He adopted her and they have been a happy family ever since.

His luck seemed to improve after that as well.

Some uses for glass eyes

Right now, I need some humor. I’m a little concerned that Quentin is getting colder and colder to me; I think perhaps he honestly thought that . . . well, never mind. I tried getting a laugh from him by composing this list, but he thought I was “being insensitive to my handicap.”

His words.

Lately, everyone seems to be so downhearted, and it’s really telling on me; even Hannah’s been a little more . . . aggressive than usual. Ordinarily I wouldn’t mind a little more seriousness, but there is still suxh a thing as smiling under pressure.

So here’s a compiled list I thought up on the varied uses of glass eyes.

About three weeks after my return from the Ron’s Dreams (this thread, for those who don’t know or remember), he bought me some glass eyes. It was a kindly gesture and well meant, but I’m sorry to say I laughed aloud. What would I use them for? Anyway, I’ve kept them, and I’ve considered all the uses I can put them to:

1. playing marbles.
2. slingshot ammunition.
3. stress balls.
4. that perpetual motion machine.
5. earplugs.
6. bomb detectors (In honor of Bert the Turtle [ya toss ‘em, duh])
7. golf balls.
8. McDonald’s Happy Meal Toys.
9. Bean bag stuffing.
10. choking hazard.
11. necklace beads.
12. earrings.
13. mantelpiece décor.
14. hang on the rearview mirror (like dice and baby shoes)
15. Yo-yos.
16. playpen padding.
17. playing jacks.
18. flyfishing (weight the hook)
19. bragging rights. (here’s all that’s left of so-and-so . . .)
20. imitation jawbreakers candy.

The last one I just recalled—when Clarity came and visited me some time ago, I couldn’t resist. Okay, so I could have, but we both needed the laugh, and I made it up to her afterward. Happy April Fool’s Day, everybody. And happy birthday, Molly.

Sorry about the lack of stories on my part Ben; maybe I’ll think of some later.

You know, you could also put them in soup every April 1st. They'd sink to the bottom of the bowl so the diner wouldn't know right away...

You know, this could happen in theory. What if a tectonic or syphon entity possessed a snowman. That is creepy.

I can see the scenario now;

Mom - " Billy where's your brother? "
Billy - " The snowman ate him."

I actually feel a little bad at laughing at that one. Because it is possible.

You could also use the eyes as decorations in a fish bowl or aquarium.

_____Mr. Mather told me how April a first works. At first I was very surprised when Timburton gave me a present, since he usually doesn’t give me anything. And I thought we had been attacked by a whole bunch of monsters, too; all this purple, gunky, icky stuff took away the water from the shower and started tapping and painting on me instead. The monsters stole all the towels and opened the doors, too, and jumped out when I was trying to find another towel to rub off.
_____I spoke a scream.
_____P.S. The present inside the present bonked me on the nose, too.
_____P.S. again. There weren’t any monsters, though. Just kids in masks.
_____P.S. again, again. For some reason, Mr. Mather was really angry.
_____P.S. last. Mr. Mather gave me permission to play tricks on the other kids today, but I didn’t want to.
