Simple put, I specialize in tracking down people of interests and return them to the proper care. I also have experience in exotica guard duty.

I simply wish to offer my simple skills to those in need and able to pay.

So let's get this straight...

Bounty hunter?

Body Guard?

Where'd you get your skills? What makes you think you got what it takes to cut it here?

A little bit of column A and a little column B.

My skills were originally bought and paid for by simple government grants and what makes me think I have what it take, well I survive this long and I have full intentions on continuing to survive as well as put my hard earned skills to work.

Right...

You want some credibility and an easy job all wrapped up and rolled into one? 10K, half up front. Any account you name, clean funds.

All you got to do is find and then report to me the location of Ron Caliburn.

You don't find him, I get my money back and you'll have to work double time to prove yourself.

Find him in 48 hours, I'll double your money.

I don't stop till I get my target one way or another.

Don't forget to pay my expenses.

Well, it seems we’ve been getting a lot of your kind here, Brutal. No offense meant, of course. And as has been mentioned, welcome.

Come to think of it, there are many others I haven’t welcomed . . . I’m slipping.

I don't offend easily and everyone has to make a living. But thanks for the welcome.

That’s good to hear . . .

That’s good to hear, Brutal. We have had a few that were a little too easily offended, before.

Doesn't pay to get offended just gets you dead all that much sooner.

Assassinated by the mercs for the job security.

That's how it works, and don't let the fact that it was all in my head fool you to think otherwise.

Still following some leads. I have a few contacts in DHS that may be of help.

Let me know if there's anything further I can do to help.

You might want to try getting in touch with GhostSpider. I haven't heard from him in a little while but he was in on this investigation as well.

How about cutting him some slack?

Based on the questions he's asked and the information he got on his own without any help from anyone here, I'd say he knows what he's doing so far as tracking someone down goes.

He knows what he's doing. He's a pro and he's connected. So what if he gets paid for it?

As long as he gets the job done, I could care less about how much I like him or don't.

A lot of people here like to look down their noses at the mercenaries but there's something to be said for a little professional courtesy.

His opener read like yours did. While it remains to be seen how much your latest experience changes you in that regard. See, it's not the money (I get paid, Katja gets paid, Natasha gets paid, Kolya gets paid), it's that the deal has to be equitable. Already you're learning that it's not about equitable deals (it can't always be equitable), it's about doing what's right (it must be). Get it?

What is right for some is not right for others.

At the moment, what is right for him is to take a job and do it to a professional standard.

It's a start.

And I noticed how similar his introduction was to mine. It was not my intention to provide a template. Or a path to follow, so far as that goes.

Unless it's being in it for equitable deals.

Why should one's inability to pay a dime ever make a difference?

Try selling that view point at the grocery store.

Or to the electric company in the dead of winter.

Or the water company.

Or the hospital.

Welcome to capitalism.

It's craptacular.

I will contact him once I met up with an old acquaintance of mine. Maybe GhostSpider and I can coordinate something.

This isn't the grocery store. Or the electric company. Or the water company. Or the hospital.

Try again.

The principle applies. Essential services are not free.

While there are charities that help the poor who cannot afford these services that are essential to live, most people pay for them in one form or another. Either by taxes or directly.

Same goes for the police or the military. They put their lives in harms way and get paid for it. Some, maybe even many, do it out of a sense of community or because they feel it must be done.

But not all of them.

There are as many motivations for doing things that others consider to be necessary as there are people to do it. You may be concerned about the motivations that others have for getting things done. Fine, but that's your bag.

I am concerned with results.

The result I want is Mr. Caliburn found and assistance rendered if applicable.

I have the wherewithal and the means to pay.

Brutal has the skills and is willing to be hired.

I see no conflict.
