Sign of the apocalypse

In other odd news, the appearance of 4-inch-long grasshoppers around Kohima, Nagaland, has residents collecting them to cook and eat, but some say it's a sign of the apocalypse or of a coming famine, as described in
Grasshoppers' Invasion Delights Residents in Kohima.
Likewise, this in South Asia looks like it might be fun to look into. I cannot imagine eating grasshoppers though.

Actually they aren't bad, though I've never had them cooked.
Still, sounds like something is up in South Asia.

I can do a lot of things, but I think eating bugs is not one of them. In fact, just the thought of it makes my stomach turn.

That reminds me of a story I heard about a while ago. Something about “Mormon Crickets” that swarm in the millions every so often.
It’s good to hear from you, Scotty.
