Apparently A&E is going to be following three psychic children and attempt to help them. The story is here

So is this going to be helpful or harmful to the society's mission?

After reading the article, I came away with the impression that this show will be more about the Dr. than the kids. Something tells me that it belongs on the Fox network more than A&E.

To look at it another way, how many of the children were named, despite being 'the stars of the show'? Very little is mentioned about them and their experiences. Maybe my view is jaundiced and the show will be different but right now I actually find myself in agreement with Miss Dawes.

Whether the paranormal is real or treated legitimately here, it seems to be about the Doctor more than anything else. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

If the doc comes off as a quack and "prooves" these children have abilities, it will hurt our efforts.

If the doc comes off as professional and debunks the kids abilities, it will hurt our efforts.

If the doc seems professional and prooves the children have abilities, we could end up with a new Dr. Lazlo.

Has anyone seen the show yet?

Has anyone seen the show yet? It almost sounds like she’s preparing the children to continue on in their gifts. Perhaps they will return to the show, and more revealed about them as time goes on?

Unfortunately, I do not have cable so the odds of me seeing it is fairly slim. Maybe if it proves popular enough it will show up on youtube or some other streaming site.

I am more concerned as to what will happen to these children if they are exposed to the public. Our history has not been kind to people with special abilities, most mobs burn first and question later.

The article seemed to have their public interests at heart .

The article seemed to have their public interests at heart . . . a reason they didn’t reveal much, maybe?
