In Trouble

I managed to get back in town this morning and my house looks pretty bad. The place was empty but the house was a mess and my gear had been raided and I was locked out of all of my equipment. Thankfully a lot of my security measures have a backup of biometrics because all the passwords were changed.

Making matters worse all my accounts have been drained but one, thankfully I managed to get that one transferred to a new account before it was hit. When I contacted the authorities they told me they took a report and changing my story would not get them moving any faster.

I managed to spend the early morning with the police trying to prove that I wasn't committing fraud. I am going to force my way into the camera server this morning and see if it caught any activity in the server room.

Talk about suck.

Watch your back. Somebody's got it out for you, I'd say.

I don’t like this . . .

I don't know how he did it, but the man responsible for my trip in South America was in my house. He somehow figured out how to get in. I am working on figuring out where he went from here. However, he has done a good job covering his tracks.

Even more strange is when I saw a friend at the store today, they asked when I got back from Ohio. I haven't journeyed that way in a long time.

That doesn't sound like somebody with a wig and some make-up.

Stay safe.

This have just gotten worse I fear. I don't know if any of you saw the afternoon news report, but apparently I walked into a mini-mart in that small town in OH and executed the clerk. I then proceeded to hunt down the other customer through the woods and left him sacrificed on an alter.

I just spent the last four hours being questioned by the police, but fortunately they are having trouble making it stick since I was in a mini-mart here at home at a little after midnight. The witnesses of my being here are still breathing, while the witnesses over there are all dead. At this point I am considered a person of interest, but I think that is just until they can figure out a way for me to be in two places 200 miles apart within 20 minutes.

The odd thing on the video is that I am shooting left handed. I have never been able to use my left-hand for much more than controlling a video game, so if you see me and I am left handed watch yourself. Heck, at this point I would say if you see me be careful.

I need to figure out what is going on and fast. Otherwise I might not be free to do so.

Uh, another evil double?

I am not a double. We are not the interloper, if anything he is the demon. I am the original, the true one. We will fix this, I can still return. I cannot fail this time.

So you're refering to yourself in both plural and singular?

I had that problem once.

DarKnyht I think you need to find a few members of Lazlo to speak to soon, and to have it that they will be able to vouch for your whereabouts for the time being. As well as maybe being there to watch you back, if need be.

The FBI is already ahead of you on this. Me and my lawyer are currently under the "protection" of them. While I am more or less free to move about, I can be assured that I am being followed or watched. I was informed that if I left the general area that I would find myself arrested Ala Guantanamo Bay.

If anyone would like to join me in my fun feel free to come on by, but I will warn you it is quite boring being stuck more of less on a single small town. Everyone could probably be much more help in tracking down this nut and bringing him in. I would say taking him out, but I think I will need him alive to fully clear myself.

Apparently he struck again in Lower WV. Three were confirmed dead and two are missing. Two of them were apparently literally nailed to the wall in the middle of a pentagram made out of their own blood. One of those was someone who helped me do some research on an artifact last year.

I cannot write much on here, because I am currently on the move constantly. A lot has been happening. A couple of days he finally came for me. The two agents that were with me were taken out quickly and efficiently, but for some reason he wanted to play with me.

He somehow has a duplicate of my gun, the exact thing down to the markings. I know this because I managed to get hold of it for a short period of time during the fight. It makes no sense, something cannot exist in two places at the same time.

He is also very insane. He kept going on and on about how I did not belong in this reality and he needed to erase me from memory. He would then ramble in some horrible sounding language, switching between it and english as if I understood it. Also seemed to like telling me this was not what was supposed to happen. There was apparently something that lied to him.

That said, he is dangerous. He somehow manages to look like anyone he wants, that is how me took out the second FBI guy. Walked in looking just like the first one, pulled out the gun and shot him in the head. Also somehow he managed to return unhurt from being pushed out a window 5 stories up, instantly!!! One second he was going out the window, the next he was standing in the doorway throwing a knife at me.

I think he might be a mind reader because fighting him was like fighting someone that could read my mind. It was like he knew what I was going to do before I did it. I think that he didn't really use one of his hands that helped me fight him.

Anyways, if anyone encounters him be careful. I need to get moving again. If someone can help, PM me and I will try to respond when I can.

I wish I could help you DK. I owe you one, but as it is now, I'd be no more than a burden. I do wish you luck though.

I understand GS, we each have our own troubles to deal with. He managed to clip me with his gun last night. Never knew that what I fired could hurt so much. My left arm is not doing so well, and I cannot go to a hospital because he was nice enough to kill some more people while looking like me. I really wish I could figure out how he does that.

Anyways, I think this is turning into a game of cat and mouse now. I've managed to get as far as lower WV, figured that I could lose him in the back hills I have spent so much time in. But he has somehow managed to follow my every turn.

If anyone can get here, I am near the mine I wrote about a long time ago. I have been debating releasing that creature in there to give him something else to worry about. Haven't gotten that desperate yet, but I am getting close to it.

This cannot be, we killed him. WE KILLED HIM! Everything should have been undone. Why am I still cursed and trapped. We want our life back!!! He took it and we removed him from reality!!

It isn't fair, I went through so much torture to get back home and it isn't undone. Someone must have done this! They will pay, we will kill them all. IF WE CANNOT GO HOME THEN THEY WILL NOT SURVIVE.

Rumors of my death might be a little exaggerated. I will say that I found myself in quite the mess though. My idea to unleash that demon on him backfired. Somehow he knew what was there. Managed to get my gun off of me also, but fortunately I was able to hang on to my gear bag.

I guess I spent two days sitting within a ring of salt until my new friends in suits showed up (time goes funny when you have nothing to keep track of it). Emergency bars and water is not as tasty as advertised. Seems that I was not as away from government observation as I thought.

I feel naked without weapons and my new friends refuse to give me any. In there words I am with them in an advisory capacity. At least they haven't taken my gear yet and they don't seem to mind my posting here.

They keep wanting to know what I would do in various situations. In particular, what I would do if I decided to locate a particular nasty set of artifacts. They won't explain why this is so important to them. I am being dragged to the rockies because of my answers so far. They seem believe that doppelganger is headed there. Perhaps because he is impersonating me he thinks like me or something.

Worse, somehow my abilities seem to be blocked. I feel like I am only getting part of the information I would otherwise when these two are around. The few times I get something it is sort of like looking through an old dirty window.

We made it to the location that he was heading to. However, we got there too late. There were signs of struggle and battle throughout the caves, along with a few traps that had been set off. The two escorts pulled out a device and herded me back into the car.

I guess now we are off to Caleb's Point.

We managed to fight him to a draw tonight. Well, I guess it is more appropriate to say that they fought him to a draw. We managed to locate the artifact before him, and they set up a trap for him. Walked right into it and they managed to tag him once before he did his vanishing act. He must be wearing concealed armor though.

Later that night he tried to get the drop on the three of us in the town's park and it turned into full battle. Tackled the creep down and wrestled with him until he managed to pull his disappearing act on me. I even managed even to get a few hits in while rolling around. Eventually the local police arrived and he disappeared into the night.

I think I managed to break something when wrestling with him because there were shattered crystals on the ground near where we fought. They looked like something I had seen before. Before I could figure it out, one of the agents backed me away while the other tagged and bagged em. It along with the artifact was loaded onto a helicopter shortly afterwards and taken to god only knows where.

But the best news of the night is that I managed to get one of the pistols back. Grabbed it right out of a holster when wrestling only to have it knocked away from us by him. He must have forgotten about it with everything else that was going on.

Unfortunately I am pretty sure it is his copy because I seem to be having difficulty using it. Amazingly the agents haven't taken it from me yet. They seem extremely amused at my trying to use it, even going as far as to call it a cheap sci-fi prop.

I have been informed that I have two options. I can stay in Caleb's Point with Special Agent Rick Bodie and live a semi-unrestricted life or I can stay in a small cell in an undisclosed location for an indefinite amount of time. Either way I am to be interviewed on a regular basis.

One of the more interesting questions that were raised was how I can be in two places at the same time. Seems that they have DNA evidence that links me to one of the murders that took place while I was being watched by the FBI. I think they are out of the freakin' minds on that one, but near perfect DNA matches are sort of hard to rationalize.

As a result of my choice, they are revoking all of my licenses (PI, gun, and even drivers). I get to wear a nice ankle bracelet that will sound an alarm if I try to run off. I still have not been informed if there will be any other restrictions placed on me, but I am sure more will be coming. But, as they put it, the good news is I can keep my cheap sci-fi prop since it is incapable of working (gee, I am overwhelmed by joy).

I also think they are drugging me somehow. My abilities still are not working like they should. I am even having trouble concentrating enough to meditate.

Anyone have any ideas what the crap is going on?

I think they’re scared . . .

Why would anyone be scared of me? I can name at least ten other people much more deserving of their fear than me and that is without even trying.

Plus, how in the world has Original DK managed to plant my DNA at crime scenes I've never seen let alone been to?

Well, I have some additional information regarding my future. I have a nice new identity that includes a felony record (identify theft) that will explain why I cannot possess firearms, leave the immediate area, and where I have been the past 5 years. My new life includes a job doing appliance repairs, and possibly other odd-jobs.

The job was offered by a local man that believes it is his mission to help rehabilitate felons, being a former felon himself. Of course, I am fairly confident that he is just another agent in disguise.

Special Agent Rick Bodie will be staying as the newest addition to the Caleb County Sheriffs Department. He also will be serving as the new town parole officer. That is probably so they can easily keep question me. They did inform me that I will at least have a drivers license, but again I cannot leave the county as per my probation.

At least someone in government seems to have a sense of humor.

Play nice with the nice agents. As long as the FBI has you under tight surveilance, I don't have to worry about stumbleing across the wrong you. The FBI is doing their best, it sounds like, but they have no idea what they are doing when normal investigations turn up "impossible". I am actively watching for the DR1313 on your case, the FBI is meticulous at fileing them, just wish they were more timely with them.

I think you just answered your own question . . .

I think you just answered your own question, DarK. They’re wondering the same thing about your “double,” I imagine. And since they cannot separate you from him, they must logically conclude he is you. And . . . well, you’ve seen what he can do.

I think on one level I can understand and appreciate that, but it still makes me very unhappy to have my life altered like this. Plus I sort of feel like a bug under a microscope, but that is probably because of the ridiculous tracking device on my ankle.

They keep up with the humor though. The one of the numerous identities I was arrested for stealing was one Erik Dreyson. My parole officer got quite a kick out of that one. I guess that will provide a plausible enough explanation why people might show up occasionally calling me Erik.

Excellent Mr. Draysen. Please direct the agents involved in your issue to contact the PAB regarding their leads on our case # 0627775. We have an open case file on several persons of interest who's face, fingerprints, and DNA all match. The dental records almost never match, however.

Hope that will get them to hurry up on their DR 1313, then we may be able to help.

I passed this on to them, but I've never heard anything back (not surprising though, I rarely hear anything of value).
