That's an amazing find... I'd love to go diving and see something like that for myself.

That's pretty amazing that they can get that kind of information based on the video, too... It's very dim, and hard to see.

I don't think I'd want to be within eyesight range of a 60 foot squid - especially since their eyes work better than ours do in the water.

As I understand it, squids generally aren't mankillers...though you do have a point. I guess something ten times my own size might not see a difference between me and other prey species. I didn't take that into consideration when I made that comment... I guess I don't think of "60 feet" being as big as "ten times larger than I am".

Even still, I wish I could lay eyes on something like that...
