Bhudhism also influnced Zen which in turn influenced Imperial Japan . .. which leads us down the trail to Nanking and Bataan.

Just about anything is potentially dangerous. Especially the extreme variants.

But in our reality power is a corrupting influence that does not even require supernasty involvement to create. And sometimes even Buddhism cannot resist this corrupting force.

Then there's just plain f'ing evil.

Maybe we should open a new post in the Philo section on this topic. Its starting to head that way.

I'd say we rounded it out.

But I'm no philosopher....

It would be stating the obvious, for me to point out that Kolya just stated the obvious.

Good. I try to only speak the obvious. That prevents others from getting the wrong idea about who I am.

Haven't heard from Droop in a while.

There is a reason no body has heard from Droop Dawg of late, and it is one of the reasons I and others from my team haven't been posting much of late.

A few days after the the start of the New Year, something happened where I had made arrangements for him to stay. He had been staying in a small cabin on the ranch. The whole ranch was supposed to be protected, and I had two of my people staying at the ranch as well. :x

It whatever it was happened sometime around 2A.M. there was a Yelling and sounds of a struggle coming from the cabin. By the time anyone was able to get to the cabin there was a flash, and then things went quiet.

When the cabin was entered it looked as if the place had been tossed top to bottom. There was not sign of George, save that there was a odd pile of cloths at the back door.

I will tell more later.

What are you waiting for? They may still be alive enough to need our help!

Calm down Logos, there could be any number of reasons why he's waiting.

It would take but a minute to fill out further details, or explain why we can't begin investigation immediately. They've waited a long time already, any longer is practically criminal in itself.

If they're dead, than they're dead.

If they're alive, than they're alive.

I trust in Shadow to be doing everything he can.

Funny, that, from someone who isn't either.

Since waiting is what we've gotta do, then, fine.

If it turns out that something could have been done while we wait, though...

Maybe he needs to gather more intel. Maybe he needs to get it in order.

Needs more intelligence? If that's the case, then there are those among us who are either skilled at investigations or make a living off of them. I know that too many gathering information at the scene of a crime can be a negative thing, but... you know what? Nevermind. You're all absolutely right. After all, I'm just a cop with a trained K-9 unit. I wouldn't know the first thing about these situations.

Sorry about the lack of info there folks.

So you know I had two of my people there already. One of them was Athena. For those of you who have not met her,she is a investigator of no small skill, and a fair psi as well.

During her first pass at the cabin she was able to determine that there had not been anyone else in the cabin. It seems George had been the one to cause all of the mess inside of the cabin. A fact she later confirmed by use of Object read. Thou at the first attempt to use object read she also experianced a strange feeling that caused her to black out for a time, she also had thought at first that Droopy was dead.

During a second attempt to use object read she changed that assesment. The reason being she was able to see him still alive, thou she saw him in what she seemed to feel was a Jungle setting.

My people, and I have been doing our best to look for Droopy Dawg. I was informing everyone now, with the intent to ask for assitance. There was something else in the room With Droopy when he vanished. But for some reason my team and I have had a hard time getting a bead on it.

What's your location? If you could PM me with more details? With how long it took to get this intel, scent traces are probably diminished, but if whoever or whatever's responsible is still in the area...

What sort of things would cause you to have trouble to "get a bead" on?

Funny, that, from someone who isn't either.

Whoa, whoa. Are you calling me undead? :?

Shadow, I am sorry about the cabin, did I trash it too badly?

No worries it has been cleaned up. You didn't do any serious damge, just had people very worried.

Ron as for your question there was something else in the room besides George, exactly what I am not sure of at this time. The only reason I or any of my team were even able to notice it was because it left, well for lack of a better term a sort of a void in the psychic background.

Um... I need to get my thoughts together a little more and then I'll post the details, but there was something at my door that leaped on to my head and apparently tried to teleport me somewhere. Only problem is I wound up in Brazil. What it precisely was I have no clue.

Have a care, Logos. You might be all those things, but you already said it. Too many know-hows running around can be problematic. Too many cheifs and not enough indians can make a schism quickly.

Different kind of vampire - not undead . . . still probably dangerous.
