why would you be insulted about mr. rogers? i watched him growing up, the guy was nice. he was just always giving out advice like "you are an important person" and "you can't go down the drain", just lessons for little kids. what's so insulting?

I don't know what is insulting about it. I'm not American and not wholly familiar with the cultural connotations that calling someone Mr Rogers might carry. That's why I asked for a yes or a no, not an evasion.

the guy was a kids show host. he was nice, and taught kids important lessons. if you're REALLY insulted by a reference to a nice guy that kids liked, that's up to you. but i'm not evading, and i wasn't using it as an insult. happy?

A yes or no would have been sufficient from the get go.

All I know is he looked like his mom dressed him and she had bad taste in sweaters.

I don’t know if I would describe him that way. It just sounds . . . wrong.

I don't think I watched TV recreationally until about 1992. Didn't really like it so I haven't really done it since.

Sophoroto, do you mind looking at some files for me? I know I am missing something, and it should make sense, but I just cant see it. possibly the suspicion and waryness that has built up over the years blinding me to the obvious.
I have all of these accounts clustered together in a single file, from back when I was first putting my archives together but I can't seem to place why they are filed together in a single numbered file rather than properly broken down, cross referenced, and filed catagoricly.

Um, sure, you do realize I am not a trained researcher though don't you?
Don't get me wrong I love to read and study. It's just that you guys are trained and have alot more um, working knowledge than I do.
