No angel your Knowledge of firearms does not suck. there are no weapons that you can just take into a dream, unless they are of a very magical nature.
Fact is taking any weapons into a dream is normaly a indiviual talent.

The most effective weapons in a dream are those you dream up, yourself.

If your enemies come at you with guns, put yourself into a tank. Doesn't matter where you are; if it makes a mess, it'll get cleaned up right quick.

If your enemies come at you with tanks, put yourself in a giant fighting robot that's immune to tank fire.

It's easier said than done, I know, but once you get the hang of it, getting attacked in your dreams gets...kind of fun, sometimes. Kind of like when you're a little kid, and you get to show off that you can out-imagine the others. "My stick is a sword, and I can cut you in half with it!" "Oh, yeah, well mine is a gun! I can shoot you first!" "Well mine's a cannon!" "I've got you all beat. Mine is the one that shoots frogs." "How's that better?" "You haven't seen the frogs it shoots. They're really big, and are immune to your swords and guns, and will eat your tanks whole! And they're nice, and pink, and pretty, and--"

You get the idea. =P

It's realy hard for me to describe it, KT and Prof Rosencrest and of course Shang Li helped me a fair bit with this.

Step 1 is recognize it's a dream.

Setp 2 is recognize it's your dream.

Step 3 is since it;s your dream, it's yours to control - so take control and make what you want happen.

Sounds easier than it is, but it's also easier than it sounds.

How am I supposed to do all that? Every time I have one of these dreams, it just feels so real, I can't even tell I fell asleep. Hell, Rose said I was getting tired and was put into the RV, not walking there myself. Everything in it was physical, it all had actual substance. I don't even know if I'm making sense, but my shoulder still hurt after I woke up.

I don't know if this even makes sense to me.

There will always be some kind of sign that it's a dream... For most people, they can't read in their dreams, so things like signs or newspapers all look like they're gibberish. For me, it takes recognizing that certain phenomenon shouldn't be happening; someone who should be dead making an appearance, or things not looking quite right... No matter how real it feels, there's always some kind of telltale sign.

Once you recognize that sign, the next step is, as Ron said, convincing yourself that it's a dream. This can be difficult, made more difficult when it feels realistic, but once you've recognized some telltale sign that you're dreaming, it will become easier. (Especially if reality seems to distort around you to make things "right", such as the person who's supposed to be dead suddenly not being there, or letters re-arranging on a page to try and make sense.)

From there...you become God in your own dreams. You can learn to control them, down to every last aspect. If someone is invading your dreams, a few quick changes to things will allow you to be more powerful than they are.

Lucid dreaming cures all nightmares.

Yeah, but my dreams don't work like that. I have all senses, I can read, eat things that make me feel full, that kind of thing. I don't know, it's like this stuff is REALLY HAPPENING.

But you're dreaming?

If you are actually dreaming and not projecting, lucid dreaming is the answer.

It didn't make sense to me either. I suggest you read some of my threads from the first few months of this year, end of last year in the Warstories section - might show you a bit of what I went through.

Don't worry Angel. Rose will try to help you figure out how to do it.

Hey, Ron, you're not exactly the best person to be talking about the distinction between reality and dreams, are you? (not being mean, just honest)

We should all learn how to do it.

I lucid dream every time I sleep.

I think that's the only reason why you sleep.

Well I need sleep anyway, so I may as well do something with it.

I think we know why you sleep, Sasha.

A few months ago or a few years ago, yeah.

Right now, I'm good.

I thought you were talking about Nightmare Ron. Sorry about that.
Eilonwy never tried to kill me. Nightmare Ron did on several occassions.

That still doesn't change the fact that she was pulled out of the guy's head. I don't think lucid dreaming cures that sort of thing.

Posted: Mon Jul 16, 2007 8:56 pm
by Kolya
Might prevent it.

And lucid dreaming only words when you are asleep after all.

When she shows up again, we'll have to ask her how she got there.

Sorry, Ron, I forgot.

Hi Sue,

I think Eilonwy came outta my Pa because she was a person who had ta die then come back. Since he kilt her he had ta bring her back.

I'd rather something like that had happened instead of what came outta me.

Hannah

PS: I don't know how ta explain it, ut I was kinda with Sue when this happened, but not really. I know I was tryin' ta help her . . . though nobody says I left my seat.

I think I know what happened Hannah. I think you projected yourself into Angels dream. It is not unlike astral projection, I will try to explain more when I get back.

Huh? Wouldn't I have remembered that?
