I did not say such entities were involved did I Ron Caliburn? I belive I merely clarified another member's prior post, and pointed out that I have had personal experience with 2 sorts of cults that are associated with such beings.
People that draw conclusions of an author's beliefs and opinions from such a small collection of printed facts are the main reason the scientific community at large does not take parapsychology seriously. All to often teh conclusion is jumped to and the facts are dismissed before any conjecture or theory is offered.
Pardon me while I step down from that soapbox, but you have no idea how frustrating that tendency is to someone who approaches such things from a scientific viewpoint.

It's probably about as frustrating to someone who is trying to protect people from things they only think are fairy tales and campfire stories. It's probably about as frustrating o someone who has experienced jail time or confinement in a mental institution because they were taking actions to protect people from what is a legitamate threat.

Ah good, so you do understand my irritation. Please take facts shared as such in the future, facts to share and no more.

I didn't say they were otherwise, I just included my thoughts on the relationship of the current stuation to Lovecraft's work - and my doubt that a Lovecraftian Entity was actually behind it all.

My apologies then, when one spends so many years having ones facts dismissed and mocked before you can even begin to offer conjecture or theory, one begins to see such even when it is not intended.

If it were easy, everyone would do it.
Keep up the good work.

It is possible.

Of course it's possible, but to me it makes no sense.
Too many competing evils, too many seperate agendas for there to be one overarching source.

You have to remember Ron, if this thing truly is the source of most of the major evils in the world, than it has to be older then we can imagine. That probably means that it doesn't think like we do. The pattern might look chaotic now, but what of a century from now? Maybe the impact of all these competing actions isn't meant to be felt until some moment long after our great-grandchildren are dust.

You mean it thinks like an idiot? The pattenr is more than chaotic - it's counter productive. There is no unifying evil, they prey upon each other as much as they prey upon us.
I don't care how convoluted its plans are, the ammount of fratricide still don't make sense.
There are many different evils, not one supreme one.

Also remember Ron that this thing is evil. If it is the father of all these other evils, perhaps its just sitting back and letting its kids devour each other. The weak will be weeded out, leaving only the strong and cunning to serve by its side.

One overall evil just doesn't make sense.
There are definitely big evils out there and one may be the biggest - but there is no unity in evil.

I just got an E-mail from Fate he’s run into some complications down South and will be returning soon.
He is especially interested in Dym, or should I say furious. And anybody who knows Fate, know you don’t want to get him mad. He has a tendency to over do it when he’s mad.
