A weapon with a mind of its own . . . a recepie for trouble.

A weapon should function as an extention of it's wielder, not his companion or partner.

Can't agree with you on that Ron. I'll admit that having a Rune weapon is a challenge, especially with Karlash's unique curse. But you also have to realize that Karlash has been around for thousands of years and has picked up lots of tricks and tactics along the way. Not to mention that I have the collected knowledge of all of Karlash's wielders at my fingertips. And no matter what happens, I'm never alone.

Sorry, Ron. After that last incident with *ahem* GS, I have to disagree with you. I have full confidence that Konrad would be *ahem* lost to us now, if Karlash hadn't have led us to him... From the way Bass was talking, he was... much closer to completing his little 'ritual' than what is comfortable.

The right partner would do those things too.

A weapon should be a tool and instrument. It's effects determined by the skill and expeirnce of the wielder, not by some fragment left over fromtime immimorial.

Honestly Ron, I wasn't expecting you to understand. Hoping, yes, but expecting, no.

Unless you've been bonded to a rune weapon, you really can't understand the relationship between wielder and weapon. It's unique for everyone.

There's the other thing . . . bonded. So it gets access to your mind.

No thanks on that . . . ever. Even people I trust I try to get out of my mind as quick as possible once the reason they were there is done. Being stuck with something else in there 24 - 7, forget it. Once was enough.

I really didn't have a choice Ron. I was sort of drafted into this war.

Not that I would go back and change it.

At least GhostSpider you and Karlash get along, I do not have that good of a relationship with Skullcrusher yet. We have reached understandings on how we should work together and seem to be getting a better understanding of one another. I was not her first choice for a bond after my mentor died. My daughter is too young for her to bond eith and not go stir crazy from inactivity. I still have to deal with lectures on the way it should be done from her, and she knows how to make me feel younger than my daughter.

Exactly right.

I hate rune weapons.

Before Sasha comes in and starts punching me in the ribs...

I do not think rune weapons and women have far too much in common.

Seriously.

I'm sure Natalya will ask for an extra punch in spite of the denial.

Yea, I'm gonna pay for this.

You should really try to arrange line of credit or something.

Nay because then he would have to deal with intrest as well, and that could get real painfull.

Well, he needs to come up with some sort of payment plan.

That would take the fun out of a lot of things, but that works too.

That's why it won't be happening ;)

Weapons are tools designed to kill, thats all they are. You give a weapon intelligence and a will of its own; you get that movie WAR GAMES!

That psycho Azrael had one remember him. That crazy son of bitch went after Cee. Who is to say that your great and powerful "buddy system life enders" won't do the same f*cking thing to you?

I still hate rune weapons.

Has, Azreal has one . . . as soon as somebody gets it back to him.

He's still alive.

Azrael's Sword is why he didn't ultimately kill Cee that night.

The sword is what got him there in the first place.

Rune weapons are bad news.

Actually his blind hatred of all things Vampiric took him there.

I think Sasha thinks Azreal should have been dead a long time before Celeste was even human.

Posted: Mon Apr 30, 2007 2:31 pm
by Bert_the_Turtle
Ahhh. I'm not sure it was the sword that afforded him that.

I don't remember.

Way I understood it his Imortallity came before DeathKiss.
As for his attack on Celeste, a few hundred years of hate for all things Vampire, and he was being duped. Sometimes wisdom does not come with age I guess.
