Yeah, they're a good family. I'm sure they would be your friends, the spirits too. I don't have any kids, I liked kids, not sure if I'd want any of my own. The doll hadn't spoken to me. Most ghosts, in my experience, are nasty and mean, although that may be because I can't see them and can only tell if they're there when they're throwing stuff and being mean.
