No love lost for the monster, but he did say one of the attackers took a piece of him? I have heard that sympathetic magic can be used to control beings, especially if you have their blood or fingernails. Anyone able to verify this?

A viable sample of a subject can with the correct rituals, can give a limited, or not so limited form of control over a subject.
Mostly such samples are better for tracking of a subject, and sendings of more dangerous spells.
Oh by the way Diemos. I will save a few people the trouble.
You are a poor excuse for a human being.

The handy
free translator just translated this for me and it doesn't sound good.
"Now is time , DARK to stand forth , we will conquer whole"
Perhaps someone should go check on Bearshaman. I don't remember him speaking Latin before, and I know he generally didn't threaten to conquer anyone.

A “werecreature,” after having been “tainted,” begins turning to darker aspects of its nature. Then, its final posts express wishes to extract “feelings” against “lawbreakers.”
From one hunter to another, this is most . . . curious.

I've been watching the news out of that part of the country for quite a while for signs of its activities.
So far I haven't seen anything that leads me to believe it's taken to preying on humans . . . yet.
If it does . . . it won't be the first werecreature to end its existence around me. Probably won't be the last either.

Why would someone have a Lasae?
I don't think they'd make very good spies?
They ain't that powerful, comparatively speaking.....
Hmmm, weird, ooh! Maybe they were used to eat the corpse!

I was hoping that Bearshaman might give me the opportunity to conduct some research into therian detection and biology, regrettably it appears that he is less than available.

Hmm, well I've known a few.
They didn't care about the moon cycle though. and could change day and night.
They did mention that there are a few who do care about the cycle, but they tend to be the most evil.
So, don't assume that just because it's day or the new moon, that you are in the clear.
Also, it didn't seem that injuring someone would always spread their condition. So be careful about making any assuptions on that front....

The_Unicorn,
I would greatly appreciate it if you could assist me in meeting some of these therians that you know. It would greatly further my research.
In regards to the differences in abilities and traits, my research has determined there are multiple different types of therian and while the overall characteristics are common, there is a range of other characteristics that vary from example to example.

IDK, the only ones I know are mobile. And fairly paranoid.

A very common trait among the breed unfortunately.
If you do get the chance to speak with them please let them know that my research is not intended to be intrusive. I would just like to ask them some questions, make some audio and video recordings, and if permitted, take hair and blood samples.

If I lived on a planet with seven billion potential hostiles, I might be a bit paranoid myself.
