So I have a dog? Duke is it? That seems like a good enough name I suppose. So who is this Mr Turtle and how do I go about reaching him to get my dog back?
I am in Maine? Guess it could be worse; I could be from New Jersey.
Any idea if I can get someone to come and pay me a visit? I am still a bit fuzzy on this whole Lazlo Society thing.
As for Molly. I do not know why, but I know she is safe right now. How I know this, it is more like a gut feeling I suppose. I do not remember exactly where she is, but I know she is being looked after by people I know in my heart I can trust.

It must be Ben, he made a crack about NJ.
I don't have Duke anymore, you took him off my hands before losing your memory.

Molly's with the Old Salem folks I thought.

My dog is back. I guess its my dog. Looks like the one in the photographs. I woke up this morning and there he was sitting on the front porch, without a care in the world, just looking out over the lake. That water is like a sheet of glass this morning. I bet you could get three skips easy with a good enough throw.

Why does this sound way too convenient?

Hehe, I see we took our paranoia pills this morning.
I tend to agree though from what I have read every time Mr. Holister has something good happen to him it comes back ten fold worse a week later.
Well looks like hell is coming to dinner in a week or so.

Let's make sure to set the table then.

Welcome back Mr. Holister, I have been expecting you. We need to talk, and soon.

Um? Do I know you sir? Quite frankly I do not recall any of you folks. You all seem nice enough though, but I do not have any recollection of who you are, or even meeting you before. I got my dog back though.
Man that lake looks so inviting today. Might do a little fishing then.
I tried to use the phone to call my niece today....but for some odd reason I could not remember the number...or even what I was doing. It seems each time I try to remember something, everything gets fuzzy and draw a blank each time.
Something else....I do not what it means. Maybe you folks may have a better understanding of this. I was playing solitaire when I flipped over the king of diamonds I suddenly froze. Like someone opened a window in the middle of January. Does that mean anything?

You say that you're actively forgetting things, Holister? It's not an issue of "there's a blank before point X", it's an issue of actively forgetting things?
I, too, think that your dog coming back suddenly seems a little off... But I don't think we should make an issue out of it without giving it the benefit of the doubt - they ARE in the wild, and while Duke probably wants to protect Ben, he also has to eat. Is food easily accessible for Duke to get by himself? Has he been trained to hunt for his own food in the absence of a food provider?
Anyway, Ben, if you're actively forgetting things, I think you really do need to get someone from here to come on down and pick you up, you should probably get checked over. Until then, check yourself over. Are there any head injuries you haven't mentioned that you've sustained? How about evidence of an old injury?
And before you ask, no, I wouldn't say we knew each other... more, we knew OF each other, I think.

you know, with even HALF of the crap that's been going on with you, I think you're better off just forgetting altogether.

Forgetting the past won't help solve your problems. You, better than most, should know that.

Oh, yeah? Well, KNOWING my problems and trying to have them dealt with ain't exactly doing a damn thing for me right now.
Besides, I'm still annoyed at the prom night dumpster baby comment, or whatever it was.

Besides to forget the past means we are destine to repeat it.
And we don't need Mr. Holister repeating any of his, do we?

There's lots we don't need from him.

It depends which part. I think he'd like to repeat his "days at the lake with his faithful dog" times, if you ask me.

He would have to remember them to repeat them wouldn't he?

Score one for Sophoroto.

Know what? Let the man have a LITTLE peace now, all right? He'll remember the nasty crap soon enough, it always seems to work out like that anyway. Lay the hell off.

I'm with Angel on this one, guys... Leave Ben alone for now, or at least lay off the jokes and not-so-funny insinuations. It can't be comfy feeling like a stranger in your own home, let alone your own head, having only a playing card as a clue to your history...
Yeah, Ben's past is messed up, but we don't really need to talk about it that way in front of him, right? He did the best he could with what he had, and like it or not, agree with him or not, he always stuck to his guns and did what he felt was right.
He'll pry remember it all here sooner or later...but personally, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn't, and that he gets to live out the biggest and happiest dream most of us can imagine... The ability to live out his life in peace, instead of fear.
Even if it's only temporary, in the name of all that's holy, please give him that right now...

I can't agree KT, but you are right with one thing. This is not the place for that discussion.

Hello again folks. Figured I'ld write and let eveyone here know that I seem to be doing ok. I did check myself for injuries like you said I should Other than some old scars that look like Smoky The Bear took a swipe at me, I appear to be in fairly good shape.
I even went fishing today with Duke. Caught three decent sized lake trout. Made for some pretty good dinner. Went to the general store yesterday for a look around. Walked down the road to it, figured I could use some fresh air. There was a jeep parked in the driveway. I guess its mine, but I don't remember if I know how to drive it.
Anyway...this is odd so I thought I should tell you. I had a dream last night about someone...a beautiful woman actually. I know how this sounds, but she had the most beautiful violet eyes and dark hair. I had a dream we were walking along the water....wierd dream huh. I don't know who she is, or why her image was so...so vivid to me.
I couldn't find any photos of her anywhere, but her face....it seemed just so familiar to me. But, it was just a dream right.
I don't remember any Crimson King. Is he another poster here? Did we not get along? I just can not seem to remember him.
The weather has been good here. A breeze came in over the lake, just enough to ripple it. Think I'll take the boat out again tomorrow and enjoy the holiday weekend.
Thanks for listening.
