Looks to me like some form of artificial memory, most likely inserted to set him after killing angel. Question is was the goal angel's death, or his corruption?

Well, let's see here, some unknown asshat wants me dead for no other reason than I'm here, my dad was murdered by someone who wants people to think it's me, I've already been attacked by Zorak on steroids, and NOW, my own brother is either trying to get me too, or he's insane.

True it is just conjecture, that is why i used "looks to me" and "most likely".

From what I have read angel has been on the scene before, correct?

Angel gets kidnapped and mysteriously vanishes, returning, with a blank period in her memory, correct?

At about the same time she disappears, her brother "remembers" her killing their father?

Even after learning the truth, the memory her brother has just won't go away will it?

The question is, as I said, Why? What is to be gained, and by whom? Answer those questions for me, and I will hand you your father's murderer. As for your brother's recovery, angel, I am not exactly an expert on such, but I believe it can be done.

It looks like I forgot that there are peopel with emotions involved rather than just a series of facts to be dissected and analyzed.

Sophoroto, when I let my emotions get involved, most people find me very unpleasant, if not dangerous to be around. As long as i take my medications, and stay relatively detatched I remain in control of myself. When I do not, I become a very angry person, and then things get out of controll.

Angel, how would you react if everytime you thought of your brother a memory of him killing your father flashed through your head? I believe that or something similar is what is up with him.
Yes it would have been easier to kill each of you, but who or what is responsible did not, my instinct tells me that the reason for that is directly related to blowing the whole thing open.

Ok I guess I should take a moment and try to explain what is being done about James.

Not long after Angel, and James' eventful reunion. James was still acting a little strange, even with the fact that his world view had just taken a major turn. His emotions were very confused.

I asked him why he was so sure Angel had killed their Father? He said because he had been told she had done it, I asked by who, and tried to Scan his memory at the same time.

It was then that I found the Block, someone had placed the memory and the Idea that Angel had commited the Murder in his mind, and then tried to cement it in place. They also wanted to keep anyone else from meddleing with their tampering.

This was done through the use of Magic of some sort. I was able to break the block, but I had to be careful or I could just as easily have destroyed his mind.

So I took James to see Rose so she could help as she is a little better with these things.

So far we have been able to remove most of the effect, but not all of it. He now knows Angel was not the one who killed their father, and that someone likely the same person who did kill their father had messed with his head.

I don't know how much longer he will be having the little problem he is right now, but he is slowly getting better.

So those are the main questions to find out then, aren’t they? Who killed their father, who implanted the memory, who wants Susan out of the way, and why he, she, or they, would want to do all this.

And . . . I hope you did all this with his consent? Is he all right?

At the moment James is fine. We have been taking our time to deal with the effects of his Brainwashing. That is part of the reason he seems to have a bit of lingering effect going on.
I am affraid Shadow did not get permission from James to try, and help him. But at the time James was not exactly able to think for himself either.

Which still seems to be the situation, at least marginally.
