Don't make me go Red Dawn on you!

You just verbalised 'Red Dawn'. Awesome.

Cool.

Ron, just keep in mind that most little kids watch the muppets, and they're just trying to keep them from having nightmares. But the thought of a six-foot-tall yellow bird coming into my house would get pretty scary too.

Or the Cookie Monster COOKIE COOKIE COOKIE!

It still trivializes what's going on out there.

A show that had Osama ibn Ladin and Mullah Omar as cute and friendly puppets would be derided for bad taste . . . so why not somethign that portrays other monsters the same way?

Hey, I agree to some extent. If you've just been mauled by a bear, the last thing you want is a teddy bear, same goes with big uglies. That's why I've never seen a teddy werewolf.

I knew a kid with a plush Were-Wolf once.

Anyone remember the monster stuffed toy designed for boys in the 80's? It came with broken manacles on it.

by Shadowstalker
Yes. If I remember right I think there was a Cartoon about it too?

I don't remember the cartoon. I remember the commercial for it though.

And seeing it in Toys R Us.

Ok, any particular point? Besides the fact they looked nasty?

Isn't that like the little boy dolls that came out "coincidentally" at the same time as those Childs Play movies? Talk about trivializing a problem. Ron, the way you feel about muppets, that's how I feel about those movies.

I was just thinking it'd be a funny as hell gag gift for Ron.

Up until he blows the stuffing out of it.

And that would take how long?

Just until he can get to his range.

Yeah . . . if we raise a generation to think of monsters as cte friendly and playful - when they are confronted by the real thing, their survival instincts are already dulled.

What instincts? Why do people always think that the best way to deal with a problem is to make it totally innocent? Ghosts aren't all Casper, monsters aren't all Elmo, and death is NOT some cute goth chick.

Too bad you weren't here when I was trying to explain this the first time.

Yeah, I wish I had been. Maybe we could have convinced more people.

Death a Cute Goth Chick? :? New one on me.

What can I say?

That you're a bad man who needs therapy?

Rose has told me many times that I need Therapy.
No Natasha I told them truths they didn't like.

I thought they would welcome things they didn't like. If a goth isn't sad it's not really a goth anymore... just a chick with white make up all over her face?

When Shadow's done it's running white make up.

Aw, you mean you've never met any perky goths? :D
