I think it might be a good idea to have something that keeps track of who can access what information. GS, I know you're pretty smart, and wouldn't (knowingly) make a mistake about who gets what stuff, but I don't think you can keep up the solo act forever. You'll eventually want someone who can deal with the pseudo-secretarial issues, paperwork's a bitch, etc.

And just so I know, does everyone want me to write WARNING:SARCASM on my posts, or can I have a few moments to make a joke once in a while?

(I think) we all knew it was a joke, Angel. It's cool. ^_^

GS, as long as you're on a secure computer that isn't connected in any way, shape, or form to the Internet, you should be good to go.

If you're really concerned, have Kei make the digital copies on one of her computers. She seems to build those things with the explicit purpose of stopping stuff from getting through a comp.

Logos, if they go with Bert's suggestion there, I'll vouch for you, if Konrad honestly doesn't trust you yet (which, given past circumstances, I highly doubt will be the case).

Indeed I do, I had a syphon get stuck in a portable I was using for prolonged research at a site.

Ever since I have been working on the current case design. Cold Iron is wonderfull at absorbing and dissapating heat, and the runes and symbols are actually a narrow gage silver pise that runs coolant through it, makes teh entire case help in heat dissapation.

GS, I'm not syaing burn the whole thign down . . . I'm saying we need to proeprly dispose of anything that will only serve to make evil stronger.

Of course I trust Logos, and Koralth. I've met both of them, not to mention Zack saved my life.

Bert, I like your idea and that will probably be how this will work.

I knew you were joking Angel.

I saw the comp Kei brought with her KT, and i'll probably have no objections should she decide to make digital copies before i'm done cataloguing.

Honestly Ron, I believe that the destruction of knowledge makes evil stronger. Even of dangerous knowledge.

To be fair, Ron does have a point. But it's better to realise WHY things are being destroyed, and WHY it's not a good idea to let just anyone have access to it. "Learn from history" kind of thing. Probably better to keep the more general knowledge info as an all-access supply, and the really dangerous crap gets the locked door policy. Heavy is the head, huh?

And by the way, I don't joke about everything. It's just better than letting crap get to you.

destroying Knowledge, even knowledge of evil origns can prevent the undoing of the evil. Some spells can not be countered with out first understanding the original spell cast, which means having to study the original. Now locking these items in a very heavily secured and heavily warded and spelled vault is a good thing, powers that be I know I have one hell of a collection under my care. Will I let any one look at these things? Not with out knowing them very well and then only under my supervision.

I think that claening out the caster's skull with 00 Buck should put a stop to most evil spells.

There you go Ron, you have your solution right there. Knowledge (usually) doesn't kill people, people kill people.

Well ladies and gents, the cataloguing is almost done, but the count stands as this. 312 books, journals, scrolls and maps. Michael, when you have the time we can get together and look over the collection. I've deemed 15 of the items to be too dangerous for lending out (unless a very good reason is given by someone I trust implicitly). Also, another 60 items are defintely going to be labeled restricted.

Some of the journals are making for some very entertaining reading.

Oh yeah, we got anyone here who has knowledge on automatons and golems. I found something in the basement of the library, and I'd like a second opinion on it. Right now it seems to be unpowered and is safely locked away in one of the crates I brought wth me.

Nope, i'm quite serious.

Damn thing scared the stuffing out of me. I went down to the basement and turned on the lights and found it just standing there. I've fought golems before, but this doesn't feel like one. Still, my knowledge on them is limited, hence the reason i'm looking for some assistance.

Oh yeah, Michael. Have your double bring all that info on golems. This thing has really piqued my curiosity.

I'll be coming in person Ghost, sorry to disapoint. I have my clone drop in after I get some time with my daughter. The clone is not like Not Ron in any way, it is a extention of me and I know what it is up to and how it will react to situations if I have not given orders. A very helpful means to get more done if needed.
