Also, I can think of any number of government agencies, military and non-military, that would just love to have zombies under their control.

Personally, I dont care about the method of spread of the zombies. Whether it is the listed virus, or whatnot. The strategies, and suggestions within the book are more important, as they apply in most situations.

I wear my hair about shoulder length, for the express purpose of dealing with humans and things that feel pain. They grab my hair, or ponytail, I instantly know where they are at, as though they were a part of my body. From there I usually take them apart before they can react.

However, if I were facing a zombie situation, beyond a Class 1 or Class 2 scenario, I'd probably immediately shave my head.
