I would love it if we could produce scentificalyl verifiable evidence - but the only evidence that seems to occur is a lack of conclusive stuff.

An individual case may not provide anything conclusive, unless the readings are undeniable. A great many cases, properly cross referenced, however can provide proof even if the readings are only mildly abnormal. Kind of like they are finding that there may be some degree of preconditioning toward certain areas of expertise determined by the growth patterns of the frontal lobe of the brain.

I bet you read bed-time stories like a champion.

I have no idea what you just said, but it still enjoyed it.

Great.

I can see it now, twenty years in the future...

"Alright Mr. Doe, let's take a look at you MRI. Well now, according to your frontal lobe patterns your going to be a yoga instructor. Congratulations."

Actually it is more limited to such things as athletic prowess, linguistics, analytical thought, mathematics, and memory. and oddly enough these things are fairly solidified about age 14-15 in most people.

You have to find the yoga instructor gene, Ghostspider.

Wow. You know how to use the smilelies. Good for you. Another thread blessed by the eternal wisdom.

Now as for the rest of us who give a damn, you may continue Ms. Nakamura.

I think she was done.

No body asked you kolya. If I want your opinion I will beat it out of you.

Sounds like Ben is ready for action at least.

I hear you are feeling better, too, Ron.

Close to it, some tender spots and the jaw still.

Well, good to hear!

Just shut up Kolya! Quit parroting everyone!

Trying to beat Ben to the punch

No hard feelings. I'm glad you're healing up there Ron.

Please, don't try to beat Holister to anything.

Thanks Bert, Kolya.

I'm itching to get back into action against the monsters . . . I've spent way too much of the last few months on the shelf for my liking.

Ron Caliburn, when you are "on the shelf" next, please contact me. I am always in need of proficient persons to take the things in my head and put them into the hands of the hunters that keep reasearchers like me alive through our projects.

I am on the shelf right now, what have you got in mind?

I had an idea of taking powdered silver, adding some ANTH3, both in powder format of course, and creating a small bursting charge (most likely a cold chemical reaction, as we dont want to ignite the thermite at this stage) to scatter the fine mixed dust of the two products into the surrounding air, aproximately 1-3 seconds later an electronic igniter createds a spark to ignite the thermite dust that is hanging in the air.

Result should be something similar to silver plating anything in the detonation radius, with considerable overpreasure and thermal effects asa well.

Perhaps if functional on a hand thrown level something could be designed to reduce the radius, as well as the size of the device - to let's say 40 millimeters or less.

40mm would work well with the several types of grenade launchers attachers these days.

by Kei Nakamura
I was thinking 40 millimeters, 35 millimeters, or 20 millimeters if the concept proves feasable.

Posted: Mon Apr 30, 2007 1:57 pm
by Kolya
Sure.

We use 40mm underbarrel grenade launchers.

there anyone with the expertise, and equipment to assist in this little experiment? My skill is not with the engineering of such things but rather in lab testing, or simulation - that and using scientifiv principle to come up with hopefully useable ideas.

Preferably legally.

I think proximity is a basic problem. But I am certainly willing to talk in private about perhaps working out some bits of travel. For example, Sasha seems to be going to the States very soon.

so... If no one minds me digressing for a moment, what's the deal with supernatural creatures and not liking silver? Does the substance... make magic harder to use, or what? And why do vampires dislike baths so much? It makes no sense! I'm trying to be serious, by the way, so don't get offended, because I think it's a valid question. If it's been covered already, as I suspect may be the case, direct me to the thread where it's explained.
