Talking to me?
I was not singling anyone out. I was talking to all of the children here.
Sorry I missed your question through all the dick sizing and pissing going on. Mind repeating it for me?

Original question was: Why do we need to militarize the society? Not even that, why should we post that sensitive information on the board.
How the hell dose someone turn that into: hey lets fight?

Organise not militarise, I agree.

Ok guys, I had to appoligize once to DK for this discsussion getting so way off track.
Tempers flare, it happens, but let us sit down and discuss this like rationable human beings.
Kolya, your opinions are dualy noted. Gothic, ditto. Both are matters to be settled privately.
As for the original subject at hand. No one ever once claimed to "militarize" the society.
The original subject matter was how to keep better tabs on each other and make things more efficiently run while in the field. No one suggested handing out guns or imposing martial law.
All that was discused was means to best take advantage of our combined abilities, establishing some sort of coomunications grid between members, especially those in the field, and the possibility of providing safehouses for our members where info, intel, and otehr nessesities can be exchanged in safety, away from prying eyes.
No one ever made the claim of "being in charge" of anything. We are all equal members of the society, no one person could ever be in charge, especially not me, I have enough problems of my own.
We just need to run the ops around here more efficently and keep better tabs on each other so that no more of us go MIA or worse.

Now that we are behaving like "civilized men" again. I concur that keeping in better contact is a good idea, militarization is not (remember what my home looked like in the early 50's). If I vanish, contact Hideoshi, if he does not know where I am either 1. I needed to get away from everything to regain my strength, or 2. I am dead.
If the latter occurs, there are a few members of this board that have the keys to my dojo/home, and know the contents thereof. Please just insure that the collection in the basement does not sit in a museum, but gets put to it's designed purpose of killing demons.

You owe me nothing Mr. Holister. I would do the same for ANYONE on this board even, no especcially, for those that would hate me.
As for the hostility, I just put it down to young warriors, being young, and being warriors. (I find myself guilty more often than I like, you would think I had learned by now)
May Amaterasu shine her eyes upon you all. (Other than Ms. Darken, although she might find a good substatute in Susano'o)

A: Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you a textbook case of projecting (no, not the astral kind)
B: Building on point A, if we simply ignore him, he won't feel he's getting the attention he needs, and will eventually go away
C: It should be patently obvious that I pick fights with you, Foxy, because I don't like you. I don't like your holier-than-thou attitude or your smug certainty that your viewpoint on all issues is the only correct viewpoint. I especially don't like your religious views, for which you can blame my mother.
D: Go ahead and say something about my mother, see if I care.

Koyla; don't get involved. Its not worth it. This won't ever end now matter how hard we try.

robin; just drop it for everyones sakes including your own. pendragons in a bad mood over this. dont give him reason to aim his ire at you.
gothic; my opinions of you havent changed for the record. an agreement to disagree is just a ceasefire as far as im concerned. we have resolved nothing.
for that matter your question was answered by darknyght and a few others a while back but you were too busy fighting to notice i guess.
your original comment was that we shouldnt post this where our enemies could see it why make a comment like that and then say we shouldnt militarize. if we have so many enemies why oppose militarizing. if we dont then why bring up our enemies. if our enemies can access these boards then they can pry get easier access to more exact locations than just 'greal lakes area' or somethin hell my profile gives more exact locations.
mitch brought that up already tho and kinda got ignored. so did michael t when he asked for peace on the boards.
im not here to fight just asking you to stop playing the suffered martyr and suck up any 'wrongs' you perceive against you for the sake of us all and yourself.
darknyght and ben; the idea in general is a good one. we are talking about having people traveling to these different areas contact those people right. i don't think i can keep up with everyone in the great lakes area.

That was the point of the discussion. To see if we can come up with something that we can make work. While I like a lot of what Holister suggested, I didn't expect that everyone would be in lock-step with him. I just thought it would be possible for us to use this as a springboard to come up with something that did work.
There is nothing wrong with someone having an objection to this, but it is wrong to use it as an opportunity to continue a personal feud.

Although 24 hours is a little too often for a check in. On those occasions I go on a pilgrimage, it can be months before I see any sign of the modern world, much less have access to it's ameneties. (and don't tell me about sattalite set ups, it was hard enough to learn how to work a cell phone and a computer.)

If you can use a cell phone and a computer, you can use satellite set ups without any extra effort.
Anyway, setting up a safety net is fine. I would suggest leaving some basic information before heading out with some folks in private for opsec reasons.
The more we handle the details in private, the better - I think.
