Sage smoke is most useful in smudging a place.... I can tell you how to do that if you need me to... but I trust your grandmother would be able to do so in a way more relevant to you lass. it never seces to amaze me that people think the only spices they need are salt pepper and onions so at least I can be happy not to suffer form bland food

My cook is excellent, and even knows how to make a killer colcannon, if you like that sort of thing. She's very fond of herbs and spices for cooking, and many of the ones she uses are grown in our herb garden. If you have any favorite foods, just let me know and I am sure we can supply those.

Gotham Witch, the same applies to you, if you have any favorite foods, just let me know.

Also, if there are any other things either of you need, let me know and I will be happy to do my best to provide those things. While I am not a practitioner in the sense that either of you are, I do have contacts in the area that sell candles, crystals and the like, so I've got resources if you need things of that nature. I am a practicing Pagan, though I am not Wiccan. My faith is older. I am looking forward to meeting both of you.

I maintain most of what I need. As those that used crystals s and stones... Those are things that must be per paired a head of time. The whole precess takes any where form 24 to 48 hours. I mostly only work with my focus stone. Most of what I may need could be found in the herb garden or the woods.. I don't know about GW as I have never meet her but I would be surprised if she did not have most of what she needed, That's just how most spell slingers roll. Though something that may be useful is if your could pervide.. GW and my self with some kind of work space.... in case we need to do a rituale... also they way we can word the space would make it a good safe place for all of us to rest if needs be... and if you like I could set up for you a Mystic panic room. that could double as a work space..... it can be the same place your fare barres used for there work space infact in some was that may be better as GW and I may be able to use the lingering magic

There is a "sacred space" on the property. Actually, there are two such places. One is outside, surrounded by Oak Trees and the other is in a small room off of the library/office space. That's where my personal altar is set up. I've used both for worship and meditation.

I hope that both of you will find my place relaxing, other than the obvious difficulty next door. Oh, and I have found out one other thing interesting about the title to the property next door. If there is ever no heir, the land reverts to my family if that line still exists. If neither line exists, then the land is to be sold and the moneys donated to a local library or school. Personally, I don't want the land, unless it can be guaranteed cleansed.

It will have to be clinsed most defiantly if not it will continue to be a source of trouble for you. I it is imposable to completely purge it of evil or to do so permanently I will bring it to the attention of my family or my order and they will buy it more then likely. and they will watch it and do what is needed to cleans it... on other thing I was thinking can you get me a lay line map of the Area?

An oak Grove? why do I have a feeling I am not the first druid to step foot there? Whom knows maybe I will find out things that will make the place of interest to my order..... Btw not all members of my order are happy with me right now... it seems they think I am being to public

I don't know if my ancestor had information about ley lines, but you're welcome to look through his books and such.

He was a Druid, according to my gran. There were others as well, but as far as I know he was the only one in our family in this country. Now, according to my gran, our Native American ancestor was a Medicine Woman and there were Shaman among her kindred.

Oh, I received a phone call from my dad. He'll be coming for a visit for Solstice. I'll be happy to see him and he's going to stay around and help out with this situation. He's not a sensitive, like I am, nor is he a practitioner, however he's got some abilities that might come in handy. He's a Physical Psychic and is pretty good in a fight. So that's me, Tms3, my dad and Gotham Witch. Hopefully this will be enough.

I'll be finished up some work for you and danovriel around that time. It's only 2.5 hours down the road for me, so I might as well hand deliver the results.

Hannah will probably be back at college by then.

Mr. Caliburn did mention that he would be delivering my repaired firearms about the time we were to do this, I forgot about that. So hopefully we will have his assistance as well. That would be great. I'd like Hannah to show up to, but I think that depends on her schedule and if her father thinks she should be there.

Well she is attending University. but If I am not mistaken she should still be between Semesters... if nothing else I may have to track her down. I have I feeling that she is some one I should get to know.. I have a feeling that she will be importend to what is coming. not sure what it will be but I do not think it is your problem.. not that I think she wont help

Mr. Caliburn, I certainly understand and respect your feelings about having Hannah anywhere near anything in the least dangerous. It's sort of how my dad feels about me doing anything dangerous.

I think that's part of being a responsible parent.

Perhaps, once this is over, she can come down for a simple visit. Actually, I would like it if all of you would accept invitations to visit when things aren't so crazy. If my dad, and my gran, approve of all of you, that is. They are both very protective. I've let my dad know what's happening here, and he's glad I will have others to help out. He definitely wants to meet all of you first, however. My gran's also told me that she will be checking y'all out too, but I doubt if most of you will notice her when she does. Most folks can't see her, or the other spirits that live here. I am sure she'll be giving ME an earful, however!

Ron that is spoken like a father I have a daughter my self she is less then a year old... and I fear for her, as I am sure you fear for Hanna.. but she is not the little girl you held in your arms any more. she is now an adult woman whom needs to chart her own course and learn to fly one her own... not that I see me liking that in 18 years mind you.......

but let her spread her wings and fly, as hard as that is for you to do.. (it would be hard for me where my lass is consed) and only then can she make you proud.

I heard said once by an old wise man once that war is a game for the young.... and peace is a game for the old.... think on that ron. and Trust her good since also she has been with GW so I can say you should trust her good since as well

Ron let me know if you have any more problems with the sidhe or the fay where Hanna is censored. Way back when on of my Fore fathers took a Fariey queen as his bride. one thing about the Sidhee is they make us look like amateurs when it comes to legalism..... I am still bound by the same agreements that they made to my fore father... but so are they... where I to place her under my protection they could not touch her... it it would mean an attack on my many times great grandmothers court which would lead to war under hill... that is something that all the sidhee would vary much like to avoid

I promise I'll see what I can do, but that talk may be better reserved between you and her. Bringing her along had never been my intent, but she was rather insistent (and to her credit, she saved me a couple times). As it stands, my own luck for avoiding trouble has been absent lately.

One can struggle against fate, but arguing with your daughter is seemingly folly.

not as much help as I had hoped but thanks... I have been trying to come up with reasons why he would come back and go to the trouble of keeping the farm.... 2 reasons I can think of is it could be a place of power a lay line nexus or some such. Though there are ways you can make your own place of power blue stone for example will work as a self charging ppe battery as long as it is touching the ground same with meritocratic iron.... did your ancestor say any thing about that?

and you said that the ancestor that sold him the land did so because he use to fallow the same tradition please tell me that was not your family druid? if that is the case things just got sticker. There are rules about how I must go about confuting a druid weather or not he has turned to dark ways. it can be done I just have to make sure I do things right and dote every I cross every T if I dont I could be called to account for my actions so I have to have Proof or wrong doing.. I kind of skirt the edge of the bylaws of my order in some ways

Tms3, actually, the land was sold to this person because he and one of my ancestors were friends and followed similar paths. According to the information I have the man was NOT a Druid, rather one who followed a path that had similarities in that it supposedly had a respect for life and nature. Apparently the respect for life got perverted by whatever this man has done to prolong his own life. I get the feeling that the reason he has returned here is that there is something in the house he needs, either physical or metaphysical, to help him continue his unnatural life.

My dad just arrived! I am so happy that he will be here for Solstice! I haven't seen him in over a year now. He's been on the road for quite some time now and is planning on staying here for at least a month. He told me he's looking forward to meeting those of you who are coming down to help out and wants to thank each of you personally for your kind offers! Mr, Caliburn, my dad told me to tell you he understands entirely your feelings about keeping Hannah safe and out of harm's way. He said he feels the same way about me.

My dad just came back into the house, from his visit to the grounds of our farm. He also saw that strange figure at the farm next door, but only from a distance. It was outside that old farm house, just looking towards our farm. It stood there for several moments, then turned and went inside. My dad was seriously creeped out by the figure and told me that he has seen it in the past, twice. Once when he was about 10 and the second time the day I was born. Creepy indeed.

the plot thickens, if you need me I can depart her sooner then planed. If you should feel that the situation is becoming more dangers. or if you should feel threatened by events. does he know about your ansesters raid on his farm? if he does it may be that he may be plotting revenge against your family. That could make him more dangers or less so

Tms3, I appreciate that you are willing to come sooner than originally planned. Since my dad is here, I feel a lot safer than before, so at this point I don't think you need to change your plans. I don't know if he knows that one of my family participated in the raid on his property, but he probably does. I think he feels some sort of connection to my family, because of his association with my ancestor perhaps. I've taken whatever steps I personally can to protect myself, my employees, my animals and my land. I will wait for all of you to arrive before taking any direct action against this person. As long as he stays on his land, and doesn't harm any people in this area, I feel safer in waiting.

I can't see any reason to confront the supernatural with firearms....guns are heavy and most often just get in the way.

I'd suggest something talismanic...I have the very old silver Hamsa Hand/Hand of Fatima which an old neighbor lady (Fawziya-how I miss your cooking

) gave me for protection before I went to Syria and Palestine/Israel on my Pazuzu-mania Tour!!! aka vacation. Back when I had money...sigh.

While in Syria, I think the talisman helped, well at least more than a gun would've.

The ultra-cool, Dr. Raghid, scholar and relative of my translator/girlfriend, showed me a bronze Pazuzu headed mace that he believed had been used for sacrificial purposes. Allegedly caving in more than 1000 skulls.

Anyway, things got very strange one moonless night, It might have been all the hash we hookha'd, but I think not.

We were in the Syrian country-side....at the scholar's remote cottage home.

We had just finished eating and then suddenly all the glass in the house started humming or vibrating. The shutters blasted open Hollywood-style, clearing the smoke and our heads with a burst of neck hair prickling adrenaline. Seconds later, I felt only what I could call an oppressive force enter into the small mud-brick house. The light visibly dimmed and it felt like my chest was going to birth what felt like the biggest. baddest xenomorph ever. There was a terrible stench, I was struck with extreme panic, hyperventilation ensued, I grew light headed and for some reason I grabbed and pulled out my lil' talisman. For some reason screaming and waving it around seemed like the thing to do at the time. My host, being more rational, grabbed the mace off the table (which was right next to the hashball), ran to the door and threw it out into the night. Then there was a pop or a crackling static effect...the lights perked back up and then it went dead silent. For the next 10 minutes all of us cowered and kept repeating 'WTF' in three different languages. Exhausted, high and emotionally spent we finally all fell asleep hours later.

The next day we went to look for the mace...it was nowhere to be found.
End of story...cue Twilight Zone music..the end.

Creepy heh?

True story though. I should probably relate more of it here in the War Stories section.

But anyway....get a talisman...leave the guns at home.

Though back on my trip Uncle Raghid lugged around an AK, but that was for banditos not vengeful spirits.

Peter, if I felt this was just a spirit, I would agree with you. What I fear in this case is this arcanist is very physical and has found a way to prolong his life beyond its natural span. If this is the case, then physical means will be necessary in this situation. I have two practitioners coming, and Mr. Caliburn and my dad. I don't know if anyone else will be involved at this point, but I feel confident that the particular talents involved will be capable of dealing with most things we may encounter. I would very much like hearing more of your stories, though.
