Actually ever since I caused a small fire with a batch of photos on a disc (taken in a raid on a kotodama practitioner's lair) I have tended to strip electronic media down to it's constituent data streams, seems much less harmfull that way.

Unfortunately, it takes a bit to strip things down to binary while the feeds are going through, and then it take even longer to recompile into other formats.

Well, good luck with that. Like I said, just don't watch it too closely.

Well, that was...anticlimactic.

Apparently, my wards are a little too strong... Gabe is over here laughing his ass off, first time I've heard him laugh in quite some time. Just for reference, not a pretty sound.

The audio was almost entirely static... I heard something else, almost subliminal, but I couldn't make it out. The video showed a guy watching something on his screen, then his shadow rears up and kills him. That's when the subliminal sound played...

It's also when my CD player fried the disk, and my wards all went off at once. Something tried to get in, but completely and utterly failed to do so... I was hoping for a confrontation, so we could keep...whatever it is from killing anyone else.

One thing tho... This reminded me of the Tome of Shadows incident, which I never finished reporting about. I dare say it's about time I finished telling everyone what happened.

Well I have a 2,500,000 yen system that just cooked when it played the image, when I went over the code, there was subliminal audio and subliminal video imbedded in the tracks. I would like a couple more combative specialists available when I check the drive that my cameras were feeding to during the event.

The message in the code was "we are watching you" just as a shadow strangled 2 young girls who were intently viewing a monitor. At least my Staff credit card hasn't been revoked, and electronics being burnt out through power surges is not uncommon for my budget.

Evil murderer code? If someone burned a copy of that disc, wouldn't it be on both discs, thereby replicating whatever it is? Or is it one entity living in some sort of "In between" world or something? Whatever it is, creeeepy.

My guess is one entity, using some inlaid ritual in the video. If the video is replicated, the ritual is completed, and the entity comes out, makes its kill, and uses the energy it reaps for...something. Maybe to further replicate the coded ritual, maybe just to feed, maybe to power another ritual... Not sure.

That's my guess. It's why I'm a little disappointed that my wards were so far overkill.

If anyone watches one of these videos, or walks into a room to find a staticy image of someone watching a monitor, start watching your shadows very, very closely.

I am in the nashville area, the hotel manager is having a fit about the electicity, but since the thing was a shadow of some sort, I have set up all of my lighting over many wavelengths while I am going over digital copies of some of teh world most expansive occult libraries.

I am also working on a few surprises for this thing. I don't care for things that make veiled threats and then leave. Either it was happy to be free, or it's power was based in part on the fear of it's victims.

For help, the most logical thing to do is to find and destroy any remaining copies of the disc. I have a copy of what occured in my hotel room, given the results of the original, I am not going to play it without combat support. The data I have currently does narrow the field down to approximately 795 entity types, teh list is shrinking as I calm myself, but I will not be sleeping tonight, to much to do.

Just getting my equipment packed up, need to get the address of the location I am going to so I can have the parts to repair my reasearch system there by the time I arrive.

Also since the vehicle tou have is so small, I will rent something a little more substantial. A great deal of my equipment is rather bulky, as well as fragile.
