I'm still never quite convinced about yeti appearances. I believe they could be something, but whether they are actually a yeti, I don't know. Of course, that leaves the question for what the yeti might be - some distant human ancestor? A hallucination born from hypothermia? Maybe some supernatural critter in a case of mistaken identity?

That said, most descriptions of the yeti sound similar enough that one cannot rule out public imagination.
