Hello again ladies & gents. It is up to me and my babies here to keep you informed and up to date while Benji, I'm sorry , "Ben", Ghost, and Joe go hunt down and slay that Bharghast demon hound. So here I am filling in.
Well I figure since I have the opportunity, I would like discuss this thread here. At the we both thought it was a good idea. Afteall the whole point of being a society member is there sharing of knowledge and personal experiences. Well being a werewolf myself is as pretty dam close to "knowlegable and experienced" on the matter as one can get.
I would like to be able to honestly answer and question you may have. There are alot of things I would like to get off my chest and maybe put to rest some myths about " my kind " while I am at it.
I know alot of you may have had a bad experience or three when dealing with my kind. I don't blame you for holdng a grudge either. A majority of my kind are evil and I am the first to admit that. Most are weak willed and enjoy killing. That alone sickens me.
What I possess though isn't some Hell spawned curse. At first I thought it was, but its not. I have learned to control it, to become one with the wolf inside me. What I enjoy most is that I can truly run free in the woods and experience everything wonderful about the forest around while the stars shine bright above.
My senses are alive, more alive then they have ever been. I am faster and stronger; my reflexes are sharper; but most importantly is that I can protect the ones I love on equal footing with those evil things out there that would dare to threaten them.
I am no monster. For even amongst the monsters, you find if you look closely enough, humility.
Well, as I mentioned earlier, I will be filling in for Ben for a few days and will happy to answer any questions. I will also attempt to share some of my experiences with the rest of you as well.
Until later guys.

Re: The Truth About Werewolves.....observations by Ben Holister
Hi again Miss Kelly, I have met a Werewolf who wa very helpful when Mr. Greydawn was out hunting one time, not to long ago. Me and him took out a Dabbuck together. I have to admit you guys are very resiliant, he grabbed the thing and held it so i could take it out with a fire bolt, i still need to work on my aim with that thing though. After we finished with the dabbuck i had to help put him out and dress his burns. Good thing he was there though not sure i could have beat it on my own. Wish i could have gotten his name but after he healed up he just left. Only thing i know him as is Mr. Wolf since he wouldn't give me his name. He came out of nowhere when i found the dabbuck or rather it found me . Anyway I was just wondering how many of your kind are like you and him? Protectors rather than killers.
Following in the steps of good men.
Re: The Truth About Werewolves.....observations by Ben Holister
Oh hey kid.
Miss Kelly seems like a good enough sort but you're making a base false assumption.
A few actually.
Not Automatically being EVIL is not the same thing at all as being good. It just means having a choice and some ain't going to side with the angels, boyo.
And even if they're not chosing to destroy and murder, don't mean they're lifting any digits to help or protect anyone else.
It boils down to numbers kid. First you got to look at the low ratio of were-creatures to humans.
Then were-wolves as a fraction of those were-beasts.
Then the ratio of these were-wolves able to choose their path vis those who cannot.
The ratio is further cut down by the number of those were-wolves who can chose to those who chose good vice those who choose evil.
Thus my earlier comment about the probabilty of Miss Kelly's existence approaching 0.
In other words, you're lucky to know her, but don't expect to meet another like her.

Re: The Truth About Werewolves.....observations by Ben Holister
Umm, Mr. Nemesis, I didn't say good or evil i said protectors rather then killers, was he good just for helping me? I would say no, but the fact remains that he chose to protect me rather then kill me, which he had ample chance, and then again he may not have thought he could take me after the fight with the dabbuck, being that he was injured, but he could have easily taken me out before the dabbuck. I also notice that he never showed any sign of hostility towards me.
Actions on his part is the reason I say protector, does that mean he doesn't commit evil acts? Again the answer would be no, but it doesn't mean he does either, just that in this instance he chose to protect me, who knows if we meat again he may very well try and kill me, but until then he has proven himself to be a protector, and until he gives me a reason to think other wise it is how I see it.
Good/Evil when I figure out the difference between them I will let you know which he was and which you and I are. There are many instances of good vs. evil and which is which depends one which side you are on in the battle. Were the Axis powers in WWII evil well if you were a German then the answer would be no, if not then the answer is yes. Was what the Allies of WWI did to the German people after the war good, I would say no, since it was the catalist that gave rise to the Nazi regime and allowed Hitler to rise to powerin Germany, but to the people at the time making the treaties and deciding what to do it was.
Anyway sorry for ranting.

The fact remains, good and evil labels aside, the those who chose to be protectors are going to be exceptionally rare. To the point that it's not worth trying to calculate the number.

Hi Soph. Nice to hear from you and you ask a good question.
First of all, there are more of us than you think. You must take into consideration a werewolf spends most of its time in human form, blending into the background. As long as we go unnoticed we fit right in. There are a few hundred of us in North America alone. Much more than that in Europe, Asia, South America, even Austrailia and Africa.
Now about those numbers.....with so many of us living amongst you, don't you think as a majority of " monsters " there would be alot more killings or alot more attacks. The whole is blamed for the actions of the reckless, dangerous, and evil amongst us. If the mind and soul of the werewolf is corrupt, then they are danagerous, even to our own kind.
The same can be said for humanity.
The one that rescued young Soph there is not unheard of. My kind as I have come to discover, especially the " good " ones, dispise creatures of evil. The fact that is helped young Soph against that Dybbuk is proof of that.
Sophroto, you may have found a loyal ally. If this werewolf does appear again, don't treat it as a mindless animal, show it respect. Stare it in the eyes and thank him. You can always tell by the eyes.
Trust me, you'll know.

Only a few hundred in the US? We have more than that in Ontario!
I haven't met a bad one yet. Up here, most they are a clan of earth worshipping druids who believe they are protectors. They surprisingly are also some of my best customers for silver bullets....

Well, Ontario does border Quebec which is known for the Loup Garou.
I encountered a pack in the Canadian Rockies, but they weren't tree hugging, dirt worshipping hippies, I can tell you. They weren't Loup Garou either.
They were mostly big masses of fur with fangs and claws.

I am just speaking from the ones I have met. From what I gather - they fight the Loup Garou and wendigo, among other things. Must just be this one clan then.

Just out of curiosity Mrs. Holister, what are your experiences with werewolves beyond your condition? How are you similar, and how are you different than your kin?

Ok...here's the racap.
1) Not all werewolves require the full moon to transform. Many can transform at will; day or night, whenever they take a liking to it. Thats why they are also referred to as shape shifters.
