First off, I wanna say I'm sorry to everyone, retroactively and up front. I haven't been terribly active around here. I just got a new computer, and have been working the kinks out of the system. Running great, now.

I've just been checking in on my phone to read my PM's... Not that I got any, and my phone takes so long to load anything, I didn't really feel like waiting for the smilies to load so I could start typing enough to send any out. Hopefully nobody worried too much.

Gabriel's been complacent, lately. He's still where he was, but he has a friend there, now, and that seems to be making a huge difference for him.

I don't have time to get caught up on everything I've missed. I apologize. If anyone thinks anything that's happened in the past week and a half or so merits my seeing it, by all means, either post a link to applicable threads here, or PM me with details. Hopefully, I didn't miss anything too important.

In other news, I seem to have found a nest of vampires, and may need help getting it cleaned out...

Depends on what? I got a vision of a place out in Wauconda... Master Vampire, quite a few dozen underlings, more than a handful of mages, some 300 or so human slaves... The Master treats the slaves better than the vampires or mages working under him. The vamires are all constantly badly burnt, from being forced to sleep under low-wattage UV lamps and on their native soil with holy symbols buried underneath. They're only allowed to feed at the Master's whim, and if they dare try to feed before getting permission--or if they come too close to killing their prey--the Master stakes them, himself, for a night. The mages are kept in iron chains and faceless iron helmets for much of the day, locked up at night, and are fed gruel--barely enough to keep their energy up. Disobedience among them immediately leads to lashings. The human slaves, by comparison, if they do good work throughout the course of the day, get to select someone to go out for fast food for them all...and anyone chosen to be a meal for the bloodsuckers is treated to a 3-course steak dinner.

Like I said, this was just a vision I had...but I saw the house when I was doing a route out there in Wauconda, just last week. I went out there last Friday, after work, and just as I got there, the SUV that had been parked out front earlier last week pulled up, and several guys got out. I couldn't even count the number of McDonald's bags they all carried in, and they were all grinning from ear to ear.

I don't get visions very often, and I didn't go in to verify my suspicions...but if this is right, this is about on par with what goes on in Gabriel's Hell.

It largely depends on the vampire. Boaz would treat all his underlings with contempt, making a special attempt to make certain I received the worst of it. And Khavik . . . well, he’s Khavik; I wouldn’t put anything past that monster.

The worst of it, though . . . I’m not sure. The possibility of vampires being that insane, or the fact that the minions of the head vampire can do nothing about it?

I've never understood how anyone can do that kinda thing to their own kind... This guy has a complete organization under him, and he's acting like this. It isn't...it isn't vampire-like, if that makes any sense to anyone else. Normally, if you have an army or a militia or whatever, you want your soldiers to be strong and ready to fight, not half-starved and in constant pain...

Most vampires are in a constant state of pain, anyway. It may be radical and insane, but . . . it’s remarkably effective if this vampire is seeking to create a ruthless army.

Is he perhaps trying to punish them? Then again, punishing that many for that long, is like ....OH HELL. Think PIT BULLS, Dog fights. Getting the vampires ready to launch a massive attack. They will probably feed and kill on a massive scale.

Could the Master Vampire be trying to expose the vampires to the whole world? If he does that does it mean that he is going to be trying to start a war? If he is, who would be the victor, I mean, humanity is a nasty foe when you piss them off, look at the Inquisition, but for the most part they won't believe that its vampires, but if they believe then we may be next, by that I mean, psychics, paranormals, ect.

I wouldn’t think vampires would try a massive scale attack, Bearshaman. A vampire’s true strength, the entire supernatural population for that matter, doesn’t rely on incredible powers. It relies on humanity’s disbelief. Announcing their presence to the world would be like cutting off their food source. People would then turn to us to help them, and we, in turn, would teach them. A cross or other holy symbol at every entrance, silver weaponry, wolfsbane, garlic, and other such weapons. We have the advantage of being able to move in either cycle; they are limited to just the night. The advantage is in our favor.

No, I do not think it’s a massive attack, not when time is on their side. But those are my operative words: I don’t think they would use a massive scale attack. However, if this master vampire is insane . . . more insane than the norm, anyway . . . we have to be extra cautious. This master vampire also has the advantage of unbreakable loyalty. As far as I know, no vampire created can undermine a master. Even torturing them like that . . . they will never betray their master.
