Foo Fighters over Tehran

Post by Ron Caliburn »

Link.

So apparently back in 1976 a pair of Iranian F-4s had a dogfight with a UFO. At the time Iran was a friendly power and a team from the USAF went over to investgate why a couple of (what at the time) cutting edge American made fighters were rendered totally helpless. The investigators labeled the information both highly credible and signifigant.

Yet the USAF refuses to share its findings.

Interesting read... I'm not sure I'd classify this as a foo fighter, though.

Well it's a UFO that disabled 1 F-4 and took a shot at another, what would you classify it as?

Just a UFO... I was under the impression that foo fighters were balls of light that danced impossibly fast in bizarre figurations in the sky, spooking pilots in both sides of WW2. They kinda remind me of stories I've heard of ball lightning.

But I guess I haven't really spent a lot of time researching foo fighters... Until about half a year ago, I thought that was just the name of a rock band.
