Telepathic Pig?

Post by Natasha »

So I see have a voice message on my mobile phone. It's from kalle.

"Krilova, hi, it's Katja. Listen, have you ever heard of telepathic animals? I got a pig here that seems to be talking to me. You should check it out. Call me. It's never too late, you know."

So I called her. "Where are you?"

"Near the Estonian border."

"Pskov?"

"Sort of."

Moscow to Pskov is far too far to drive, especially with our roads. It's a flight. The pig's owner refuses to sell the pig. Presumably the pig talks to him.

"So, uh, what's the pig saying?"

"Mostly he's saying don't sacrifice me to the Moon. Other things, too; he likes my boots."

"Most pigs do," I added lightly.

"Funny, Krilova, so you coming to check it out or what?"

"Hang in there, let me make some phone calls."

Have you encountered telepathic animals? We know they are quite attuned to the paranormal and supernatural, but animism? telepathy? Perhaps they are channels of desperate souls using desperate means to contact the physical world? Could be anything, I know.

... but I bet you ain't never seen a donkey fly!

I'm not up on my lore but didn't Egyptians sacrifice pigs to the Moon?

I know Katja's a little crazy but I don't put it beyond animals to develop telepathic connections with people. I'm not all into animism but I think there's much about animals we don't really know about. This would be one of those things.

I think that pigs cannot look up. That might explain the boots comment.

Some folks here have tried to claim Mr. Fluffer is psychic or something . . . I think he's just smart for a cat.

There is definitely something about Fluffers. It was glimpses and the occassional nanosecond double-take.

You can never trust a cat.

I never met Fluffers. I think that he wouldn't like me too much if we did. Not sure but that's the sense I have.

Maybe there was a psychic hiding in the bushes messing with Katja and the villagers or townsfolk or wherever the hell she is at right now? Definitely deserves keeping an eye on; it could turn sinister.

Yeah . . . on the plus side, if things do go pear shaped, you'll have bacon for a month.

Provided it doesn't survive death and keep talking.

Happens a lot in humans; why not a pig?
