Vista Sucks

Post by Razor »

Okay, fair warning to all Lazlites... Stay the hell away from Vista if you aren't above point-and-click level of skill with computers.

Currently I am largely incommunicado because of unforseen incidences with Vista have rendered my laptop to a paperweight, at least when it comes to the internet. I should have this fixed within a week or so.

At least I was able to eke out a message via one of my friends letting me use theirs.

I should also have some interesting AAR's to post on the War Stories when I get back.

Do you have at least a gig of RAM? That's the most common problem I keep hearing with the laptops... They try to run Vista on 512MB's. The term "paperweight" has come up more than once...

No, I have Intel Centrino Dual Core Processor on my machine, so I've got more than enough RAM. No the problem is the restoration partition of my harddrive got wiped, and then I got hit with some sort of DNS bomb or something... some sort. The tech I had look at it, didn't do much more than anything -I- did, and only because he had the materials to do it, though he screwed my machine up and made it worse.

However, I should be having this resolved soon. Just in time for more issues to come up. More to follow. Ill check in when I can.
