Why thank you kindly Ron. Just to let you know, Eilonwy and I are heading back this weekend. I know a fella who can fly us down via a private plane since he has a private airstrip just 20 minutes away. So the trip shouldn't take all but a few hours by plane. Know any private strips so that we can and when we get there? If so, who can meet us when we do. I have a bad feeling in my gut bout something, and I have learned to trust that gut feeling.

Every time I drawn that dammed King of Hearts I get a chill down my spine.

Anyhow, Eilonwy is sleeping right now, so I am going to run over to the general store and get some vittles for dinner. I'll be leaving Duke here with her, just to watch over her.

Well, be back later.

There are a few private strips in the area . . but DHS inspects them pretty heavy so you still have to go through all the usual channels.

Ben hasn't checked in, in a while. And his situation was prime for something to occur. Makes me a little edgy, but we all know what the man is capable of, so I'm not getting too ruffled about it yet.

Sorry that I am getting back to you folks so late. I got held up at the store playing a game of chess with old Mr. Harley. Afterwards I got back, checked on Eilonwy, and got some fishing in before dinner. Man that lake was like glass again today. Caught three trout, had one for dinner with some rice and steamed veggies.

Afterwards, me and Eilonwy sat on the front porch and watched the sun set in the distance. The way that sunset reflected off of the lake, man it looked like the lake was on fire. In a few weeks the woods will look just like that. All vibrant with color, and the way it all reflects in the glassy stillness of the lake. Bass fishing ought to be good this year.

Anyway, Eilowny is doing ok. Still feels a bit on edge, but that should take care of itself by tomorrow when we head back to DC. Turns out my friend Bill who's going to be flying us down knows a fella who has a private strip about 30 minutes outside of DC, in Virginia. When we land, I will rent a car and drive over to Ron's place to drop her off. Reckon I may stay awhile if I can find a hotel.

Ever since those garkain showed up, I keep getting thenagging feeling I should bring my old .45 with me. You know, to heighten my sense of security, and hers. Maybe my Rossbourg 12 gauge too. I will have to see what Bill says.

Anyway, Its real late, and I need to get some sleep. So its off to bed with me. I will let Eilonwy know you all say "hi!". Talk to you all tomorrow then.

Ron and Ben having lunch, peaceably, amicably even. Six months ago, I'd'a sworn it'd never happen.

Thank creation for miracles. ^_^

Hopefully the trip is more uneventful than you think it will, Ben.

Amen on the miracles part. However, I know the future is never fixed, and two such similar people can't stay at odds with each other for too long of a time. Just took a little memory wipe, it seems, to fix things.

I don't know if his memories were wiped...but rather sealed away.

He has enough bad memories, I wouldn't want him unlocking them all at once, either... It'd be unhealthy, and possibly damaging.

Let him get them back on his own. It seems he's managing rather well right now.

Like I had any other intentions, KT? I agree with the sealed away thing. Matter of fact, most low-end mind-wipes work that way. Eventually the subject gets them back but at a slower rate. Usually allowing them to cope with said memories over time.

Even then, I don't think its a mind wipe. Details are sketchy though, so no way to tell what it really is. Perhaps Ben even did it to himself through a sub-concious desire not to remember. Either way, it will probably be a long time before we know.

Considering that our ignorance in the matter is a sign that things are going well, hopefully a very long time.

...

Also considering Ben's old sense of humor, I half-expect his next post to start with something along the lines of "Hey, guys! I just remembered something!"

Probably. Even without all of his memories, it's still good to have Ben back on board, even if it is just sort of a lurking type thing.

I think I do the same thing with Belladrox's memories. Though I seem to have better access to mine than Ben does to his.

I also think its good that Ellie is up there with him. For both of them.

Wellfolks. Eilonwy and I are back in the DC area. We are going to meet Ron for lunch today. I hope it all goes well. From what Eilonwy tells me of Ron, he sounds like a really swell guy. I hope we get along ok, seeing that I more than likely insulted him previously, though I don't quite remember why. Well, its good that Eilonwy will be there.

I am actually looking forward to meeting you all, um, again?.
From what I here, I really owe someone named Koralth and Logos a big thanks. Heard they helpd me out big time a while back. I always repay my debt.

I also want to meet this daughter of that Shang Li fella. I don't know, but I really felt, joyed when I saw his, ghost? Anyhow, if this Kei is anything like Master Li, well I would be honored to help her in any way I can.

If there is anyone else I was friends with or close to, please give me a PM, I will do my best to reply as quickly as possible.

Well I have to go, Eilonwy says its almost time to go, so I will keep ou posted on how things go.

I sure hope that Ron likes dogs. I brought ol' Duke along for the trip.

I will make the tiem to see you next week Mr. Holister. My schedule is a little overfilled at the moment a few things came up and I am stuck playing around in the "intelligence" field rather than in a lab doing hard reserach, or out on a site getting more matterial.

I do not know how much like him I may be, I barely knew him. From what I have read I did pick up his ability to observe and notice things, but the rest seems to have been related to his way of life.

Howdy folks. I didn't mean to spook ya'll with my absence from the boards. I am just getting my life back in order, ya' know.

Things have been tough since my return....I am still a little fuzzy on alot of things, but it is slowly coming back to me in drips and drabs. One day I should have my my full memory back. The doc says its Traumatic Induced Selective Amnesia. The right catalysts should jump start those hidden memories when it happens, so I am just biding my time.

I have since gone back to work. Apparenly the guys bck at the station missed me and Duke something fierce. Even threw me a welcome back party. Everything has been going right it seems.

Cept' for those critters that keep showing up cause of that Nexus thing.

I may have told ya'll bout those Garkain things that showed up when Ellie payed me a visit. Well since then we have had several ghouls that could dissappear and reappear at will, some bug looking thing that spit acid, and some hellish looking hound thing. So I've been busy.

Sorry I have not kept in touch, didn't mean to worry anyone. I don't think that all this activity is normal, but ever since the equinox its been boogey man Blitzkreig up here. Seems to be getting thick as flies round these parts.

I've been able to handle it thus far, its amazing how far a double barrel shotgun and a .45 Colt can get ya'. I am thinking though it may be time to invest in some, unconventional hardware.

I am thinking maybe an automatic weapon; the OICW assault weapon looks pretty neat, but it does't start production until 2009. So maybe a HK G3 SG/1
or a HK MP 2000 will do. I just feel that more ammunition to spend on pluging these buggers with might heighten my overall sense of security.

Any thoughts?

Also, anyone know where I may be able to get some arcane menas of defense like an amulet of protection or something along those lines. aybe something that will alert me to the presence of supernatural evil critters will be nice too if anyone can spare one.

Kelly has bee helping out, due to the fact that she is a lupine and what not.
Derik has bee helping too, with the technical end of the opperations. His good with computers, comms, and what not.

I maybe looking for some more help until after the first week of November.
If anyone is available, or knows of anyone who might be, give me a ring. I sure would appreciate that.

Well I have bored you good folks enough with my problems, so what has been going on in the rest of the Lazlo world?

Talk to Bert and Ron, Ben. They'll hook you up with some gear. As for arcane gear, I've got a few odds and ends I can give ya. Talk to KT and Micheal as well, they always seem to have an extra amulet or two hanging around.

Thinking about it, you gave me this really cool Ring of Weapon Empowerment awhile back. If you want, I can have it delivered back to you. I really don't need it anymore.

As for help, I'll be done with my homework here in a about a week. I sure wouldn't mind heading up to your neck of the woods and testing out what i've learned on a few monsters. It'll be fun!

I don't have personal experience with automatic rifles, but I've heard the G36 is very good. It's 5.56mm, so the recoil won't be nearly as harsh as the G3. You could also get the automatic version of the Mini-14, the AC-556. It's said to be more reliable than M-16 clones.

As for myself, I'm a HK man. I haven't used a HK product yet that has left me wanting. Excellent quality equipment and my UMP works like a champ. I'm packing a 9mm HK USP, also.

Like I said, tried and true, great equipment, I am definitely proud to carry their gear. A very worthwhile investment.

I couldn't tell you anything about firearms, but I can send you a few other toys.

I've never considered a talisman of sensing before... That's an interesting idea. I'll work on it right away!
