You want a fight, you want a challenge, but you won't face me? Come on little queen, come to the door - lets dance, I'll rip your goddamned head of and use it to expand every orifice in your body. I'll peel your skin back one layer at a time, and then I'll make sure to strip the muscles one strip at a time. I'll bounce your charred twisted corpse off of every solid surface around. Walk within a hundred meters of me, I dare you.

The pills unfortunately was not window dressing alone, it merely got displayed to attract the desired attention to the gentleman, a play that actually worked out far too well - you people beat the statistical odds to try to find ways to come and assist, faster even than people who have shared military backgrounds.
No, unfortunately the pills, and my problem are genuine. When I am off of my medication, I get phenominally accurate hunches - between 85-95% correct rate, electrical devices and sensors start behaving abnormally, and things start to move around on their own. These effects start small, almost unnoticeable and become larger in magnitude as my brain becomes less stable.
Unfortunately, when I am off my medication, I suffer form an ever increasing form of enhanced agressive tendencies, becomeing increasingly alert, smarter, more aware, but also becoming more violent, and less patient.
Sorry I am posting so little right now, Ill be more active when I get back, Hopefully with new material.

Cold iron will dampen the effects of that, Konrad... If you can devise a headband with iron beads or some such, that would probably help.
Iron is the first heavy element in the Table... As such, it absorbs energy, rather than conducting it.
It's a lengthy explanation as to why, but I'll try to explain, for everyone's benefit... (This is stuff the ancient civilizations who used iron didn't know about, by the by.) When atoms of one element are compressed together to make a second element, they usually give off energy, and the atoms themselves are more energetic. When iron--and other ferrous metals, I believe, but iron moreso than the others--is formed, it actually consumes more energy than it produces.
When most stars burn themselves out, after building up all the atoms they're capable of condensing, they cave in on themselves... The sudden collapse causes enough friction and pressure to re-ignite the star on a rather grand scale. It begins building the new element into another element, which puts out enough energy to blow the star back out again... This is commonly called a Nova. It isn't long (on a cosmic scale) before the pressure within the star evens out, and it's simply a star burning a new element than before.
If the new element is iron, though, it starts absorbing energy, very, very fast... Rather than creating a new star, the center of this star gets very, very cold, and still, the pressure and friction increases, in spite of the cold. When the iron star collapses completely, it is either destroyed completely, sending particulate out into the universe, or, if it's large enough, the gravity well collapses down on itself to the point where even light cannot escape... A black hole is born.
When dealing with the paranormal, the laws of physics still applies. Energy is never truly destroyed, but rather just transformed into a new form. Because of its physical properties, iron dampens energy.
Why it conducts electricity and not magic is a question I'll leave for future quantum physicists...

Iron objects can be manipulated, but iron in direct contact with the user will oftentimes distort or short out the user's abilities... Had Hannah been sitting in the chair, or hiding under it while in direct contact with it (her back to the bottom of the seat, or whatever), everything would've pry quieted down.
Now, granted, this does seem to be more effective on users of the mystic and sorcerous arts than psychics, but even psychics usually complain of feeling drained when in contact with iron...
At least, the ones I've talked to all have.
