Oooh. My head.
Ok, the meds wore off and they have me on the right dosage now.
It seems someone decided to give me 4x the safe dose for my size and weight and metabolism.
I'm in a hospital room currently.
Russian TV sucks, I'm trying to get some of my books delivered to me.
So, anyway, I saw Lyosha walking into an ambush...
I went down the fire escape of my hotel and landed poorly dropping from the ladder so from the start I wasn't at 100%. I didn't break my ankle. I don't think I even sprained it. It just got wrenched a bit.
So, I hobbled a bit to the street and pulled a knife from my sleeve, snuck up behind the first assailant and slit his throat. I took the uzi from under his coat and moved on to the next guy. Same deal, only this one I pithed like a frog, destroying the brainstem.
The third turned and rammed a knife into my stomach as I approached. Fortunately he didn't give an alarm, I broke his neck and pulled the knife out of my gut and slapped a bandage on it. I was getting moving again when I heard the repeat of gunfire from behind me. The bullet pierced my left leg and I went down...

You are too damn stuburn for your own damn good Bert. Trust me ok, it isn't Del Caine. I just want to help you two out. I may have been denied, but I will be dammed if I am going to sit back and watch you be Bert.

Well from what I heard from the grapevine, Smith, Whitaker, and Jonhson are up for the position.
Grayson and Burke however want to launch an investigation into company policy and reveiw Del Caine's record to date.
I also hear they are doing independant reviews of ALL
"BB" agents; field, command, and lab personnel.
Burke got in contact with me
earlier this week with the info. Turns out the Del Caine may have been working with Russian Nationals, but there is also evidence that so was Johnson. Go figure, so tey do not know who to blame. So for right now its one big game of pass the buck.

So, I had just taken a round to the leg through my armor.
That told me one of a few possible things were true:
My luck had run out.
Their luck was impeccable.
This wasn't a trap set only for Lyosha, and these guys were out to get me too.
When a second round pierced the armor protecting the same leg I figured it was option 3.
They were counting on my seeing the ambush and intervening and sent a third wave behind the first 4 guys.
Unfortunately for them, the gunfire had drawn Lyosha's attention. Also quite unfortunately for them, I still had a few tricks up my sleeve.
Now, I didn't know if I had a compound fracture or not, all I knew was I couldn't move my leg let along stand on it. Adrenaline is good but it ain't that good. Not to me anyway.
I scattered some smoke grenades around as they reloaded, put a strap of leather between my teeth, and started crawling towards a nearby ally while dragging my leg behind me.
When I say that I was seeing stars, I mean it. I was about 3/4 of the way to the alley when they breached the smoke and I opened up with the Uzi and shredded their legs at the knees.
That left two behind me one in front of Lyosha who had turned around and was coming to my aid, and two running up behind him.
I emptied the Uzi into the back of the guy who was in front of Lyosha (only 6 rounds left) and he dropped. At this point shock was setting in and things were growing black as I changed weapons for my Colt .45. Pain went ripping through my back as the two screwed up enough courage to come through the curtain of smoke and attack me. One of them brandished a Cattle Prod, I still have burn marks on my back from where the prongs dug in. The other started stabbing the shit out of me while I was paralyzed.
As I blacked out I saw Lyosha fighting off the two men who had been waiting in ambush.

Bert, look what happened to Whackjob when he was "denied". He went into outer space, fucking nuts, developing a very unhealthy disturbing (and slightly disgusting) fancy for the frigid barren wastelands between Celeste's legs.Holister wrote:You are too damn stuburn for your own damn good Bert. Natasha fucked his world up.
She's going to do the same to you.
Whackjob may think he is helping you (but I am pretty sure he knows precisely what he is doing, and I like it) by trying to get you with her, but he is just pushing you further into the tunnel in which the train is coming from the opposite direction.

You know he went to Russia, right? And he was not 'denied' so much as 'thrown away'.
Since Celeste couldn't smell it on him, he probably did not bleach the eye-watering stench off. You know, to help take his mind off of the fact he was jacking it to a corpse.
Now you got a whiff. No wonder you're blind.
