Ahh, vamps screaming in agony.

in a few moments you will learn why I brought that big 5 gallon drum of "mystery substance".

Finely powdered silver and garlic mixture added to the sprinkler delivery system. I even disengaged the main filter. It wont kill them, but it will irritate the hell out of them.

You said that about something Cee said once. It was.... hmmm... when she was fighting the weird vampire that was working with Winder. To paraphrase:

The mystery substance was doing it's work. While they were melting, the vamps were wrapped up in total agony. All we had to do was take care of the last two guards. We helped some of the ones that were bright enough to try to find shelter by staking them, and we watched as a few ran outside into the daylight in confusion. The entire process felt a little like shooting fish in a barrel with a shotgun.

It was then that we noticed that there was no water coming down in the upstairs projector room.

I also made the discovery that the gas lines into and out of the mechanical room had been re-routed. That is when I had the sinking feeling that the vamps may have a backup plan.

One of these days I am going to have to learn finesse over brute force....

The way up to the projector room was clear, but the door leading into what was on the blue print a long hallway changed out for a reinforced steel one. Pendragon used some of Bert's included C4 (thanks again Bert! :-D ) and the wall holding the door came down.

The room was completely dry and there were four vamps at the end of the long room. We reacted by tossing a few of Ron's grenades down the long room to slow their advance. Our guns brought down the first one that advanced.

The second one turned into mist and rushed past us to attempt a back attack. I turned to face it and spent the rest of the battle dealing with it. By the time it was dead, it turned to see Pendragon waiting for me to get finished. The half smile on his face told me he had been standing there for a while. I will let him finish this, especially since he was the one that witnessed the other half.

Darknyht: Dont be so hard on yourself. You held your own and didnt back down. I would be proud to fight by yourside again.

Anyways people as DK said after I took down the steel reinforced door we made our way through the smoke (a little too much C4 that time). Almost immediately one bloodsucker made its mind up that it was gonna be a hero and charge us. Between my H&K G36 and DK's toys we brought vamp#1 down in a hail of bullets (silver tipped, solid steel core "penetrator" rounds). Vamp #2 went to mist form and dissappeared over my head. (I later learned that DK took it out). That left 2 more vamp's for me.

I pulled out my sword and charged it and my armor up. Then it was fangs & claws versus cold/ hard steel. Fortunately I had gotten into what I call "the zone" earlier. Whenever I am in the "zone", I am even more relentless in battle. I wont say it was easy, because it wasnt. I am still suffering some injuries and I think the knife wound I had taken earlier was from a "dirty" knife.

As I was fighting Dumb and Dumber I heard DK battle going. I was hoping I didnt need to lend him any assistance as I was hard pressed as it was. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw another one. This vamp seemed a bit more sure of himself, taller, cleaner and more confident. But then its demeanor changed as I staked one of the two I was fighting and had the second on its knees ready to be staked next. This mystery vamp then went to mist and flew out throuh a vent. I finished the last of my vamps off. Pouring some holy water on them

Eventually DK finished his one vamp. Exhausted, DK asked if I was alright, I just shrugged it off. "I will be alright kid but I think their master may have gotten away".

We searched the rest of place. Found some remains of previous victims and some storage tanks/ coolers, that seemed to be holding blood in them. I set some charges in the theatre then had DK get the homeless that were nearby out of the area. I had also setup some charges on the ceiling to open up the roof. Once outside I met DK by his truck. Stepping inside his truck, I pulled out a remote and blew the building. First taking off the roof to open some light into the upstairs projector room, then blowing the rest of it up. I handed some of the homeless some cash to keep quiet and then we left. I had help me with some bandages and then I booked a flight home.

Silver tipped steel core huh? I use an exposed silver core mostly because I want to make sure enough silver gets into the nasty to lay him low.

But if those work, I might switch, certainly less expensive.
