I've been getting death threats...
Since before the lunar eclipse back in early March I have been receiving numerous death threats and some rather nasty packages. Good thing no one I really know mails me anything. They know I would not read it anyway. So when things started showing up on base with my name on it, all kinds of red flags, bells, whistles, and air raid sirens went off at once.
It was not long before I narrowed the suspect list down to a handful of jackoffs. I had Natasha post about the Lunar Eclipse being nothing special, just another night with a Full Moon. Ron quite accurately flagged that as bullshit, but I was more interested in the response I would get from this piece of shit stalking me. And it came in a 10-page letter explaining to me precisely how unintelligent I actually am. In his rage and quickness to lash out, he fumbled the ball. I was so busy with Operation Silver Strike though that I almost forgot about this guy, until I another letter arrived with another threat.
You should have let it drop, Slava. Sleep with one eye open. Or not at all. It's not going to make any difference.

His name is Viacheslav Karpov. He was one of my informants until he got greedy, basically, and I cut him loose. He was not very valuable anyway.
He is a threat, but he is extremely rash and not capable of the patience required to really do anything dangerous. Obviously, we can't underestimate anyone or anything, so precautions have been made.
And now that I am certain it was he sending those things to me, I have a bit of due diligence work to get out of the way (just to make sure he is not in bed with something much more powerful and sinister) and to get the bulletproof evidence before arresting him.

Yea, little ole me! Inconceivable!Holister wrote:Wow! Koyla pissed someone else of and is receiving death threats. I don't believe it.
Maybe? Most definitely!Holister wrote:Maybe if Koyla wasn't such a royal asshole he wouldn't be receiving death threats from the guy.
We are going to talk. Well probably not he and I. I am no good with interrogations; I will leave that to the specialists.Holister wrote:Ever try talking to the guy before you rush in and decide to settle things with a bullet to his brainpan first.

Doesn't change the fact that Koyla's still a royal asshole. Hell, half the time I read his posts, I want to kill him.
It must be that wonderfully charming f**king personality of his.

Come on! Mr. Caliburn has already stated his regret as to what happened, and I have no doubt that it was sincere. He's given the story, if he were lying he could have JUST AS EASILY given credit of her death to that Khavik fellow I keep hearing about. If there's some other score to be settled, then I apologize for bringing up painful memories, yet I cannot find any other SCORE that needs settling.
