We rock! (KT's team)
Hell, this guy who lives near town caled Jarvis Kopek {I may have at times mentioned his name once or twice} had built a functioning WW German bunker
and disguised it as a hunting cabin. Never even knew it till we got inside the place.
The damn thing had two levels, an escape tunnel, air filtration, water purification system, a safe room, sat com radio set up, two disel generators, and an armory that wold make Bert cry with jealousy.

Nice nothing! I had to raid the place. I needed Duke and Wilbur to get past the mines and anti-personnel devices {20 yards worth of them} just to get to the front door without being blown to bits.
He had the "double duce" positioned in his livingroom and facing out the front "window" set on an automatic motion sensor.
Good thing I radioed ahead to let him know we were coming.
Kopek is a crackpot, but I wasn't getting my ass shot off due to a "disturbing the peace" charge.

I suppose your right. But that crackpot was using "whiskey baron" money that he found in those tunnels.
Like I said, there is no telling what stuff is still down there.
Once I found a crate of whiskey dating back to 1929.

Thats where I found your signed Tommygun there Bert.
There was a large vault down there too. A big sucker at that. We were gonna blow it and see what was inside, but I didn't want to cause a cave in. Then the Orion 12 incident happened, and I haven't been back down there since.

I will lend my back, and will to the task, if you would like. I may be a poor architect, but my hands are no stranger to a hammer's touch. I am fairly certain with a few calls I could have many assistants to help make light work of any task required.
I also have a little experience in overseeing the removal of rubble, and rebuilding of homes. (I needed something to do to take my mind off of death's sweet release at the time - my interest in the edge of my wakazashi was..... unhealthy.)

Understanding, is not a thing that comes swiftly, but rather in stages, a journey that once begun, must be seen to it's end.

I realized I hadn't responded to this, yet... The...method I use for shapeshifting grants me the exact shape of an animal as they were when they were alive...gender included.
Your father got me the skull I used to make contact with the spirit of that horse; your father also promised that the horse died as close to a natural death as was possible, and didn't suffer. I'm taking your father at face value on that one...
I could go on a tangent several pages long on Freudian theories as to why your father chose that particular skull...but a lot of those theories might be offensive to the horse's spirit, who performed spectacularly when we needed him to. I won't speak ill of the dead, so I'll just let the matter drop.
The fact that I take such a complete shape, though, has given me a grander view on a number of gender-based debates in the past... (The fox spirit who accompanies me is a female spirit.)
I hope that answers your question... I know it opens me up to a lot of ridicule from everyone else. Not that I care.

Ron: I think we should pool the collective talents of the Society and their contacts to come up with something liveable and impregnable. Even make it look normal on the surface. I'm pretty sure we could do it. You have too many enemies for a straight up ordinary building.
KT: That is cool. Tell me, do your experiences make it easier or harder to connect with Lex?
And of course the first joke comes out of left field by Holister.

It's hard to be less understanding of females after you've spent time as one...even if not of the same specie.
Though role-playing helped me with that, too... Much as Ron puts down rpg's in general, playing a serious character of the opposite gender does tend to broaden one's horizons, in a social manner...
Then there's the empathy towards others I tend to have...
So I guess maybe it's not just the shapeshifting, but it does contribute.

Hi KonThaak,
So it's my Pa's fault you were a gelding?
I'm sorry if I made you the target of some jokes. I thought everyone here was nice enough not to make fun of serious things.
Hannah
PS: What else have you turned into? What does it feel like to be a horse? The horses in the compound couldn't tell me.

Heh, it's cool, both of you. I understand; I also remember when I was younger, I couldn't tell the difference between a gelding and a stallion...and I didn't want to get close enough to be kicked in the face to see the scars from the "operation".
A lot of places...er, "load" their geldings to look like they're still stallions. Some folks believe it keeps the area from getting infected... I don't know.
As for what else I've turned into... I currently have the capability to become a fox, bull, and falcon, though I get the feeling the bull won't be too happy if he's called back to our world too many more times... I used to have a rabbit's foot, but the rabbit's spirit has since moved on, and I lost contact with him.
And that's about it...

Hi KonThaak
Wow, that's a lot of animals. What was it like being all those different animals? Is there any animal that's your favourite ta be?
I like animals. I usedta help my cousins and uncles with the animals all that time. I usedta talk ta the animals too. They didn't say much back, but they don't really have that much ta talk about anyway.
My favourite was the mule that usedta pull the cart we loaded the milk and eggs from the barn to the kitchen in. He was a silly fella, but he always pulled the wagon at just the right speed to keep all the eggs safe and the milk in the pails.
Hannah
PS: Well he did for me anyway. Sometimes my cousin would be a little to quick with the switch or tight on the lead and that mule would bounce him and the cart so much that when they stopped at the kitchen all ya needed was some flour and ya could make my cousin inta pancakes.

As of right now, I'd say probably falcon. Flying is amazing, even when your body thinks it's used to it...
As for what it's like...it's not something I think about much, oddly enough. When I'm in those forms, they feel natural, like I'm supposed to be like that...so it's really pretty hard to describe.

Forgot about that... Then again, I don't really have any fond memories of that entire scenario. All I remember is assloads of pain... I don't remember how I got out of there alive...
Come to think of it, I don't remember much of the trip to that place, either. o_O
