Alright, everybody, this is stopping. NOW.
I was trying to sleep, but seeing Ron's reactions to some of these things, and reading some of these back-and-forths myself, I can't sleep. I've got some things on my chest that I've gotta unload at both of you.
Ben, admit it: If it weren't for Kelly, you wouldn't have even half the views on werewolves and vampires that you do now... You wouldn't have any previous experiences with non-human monsters having a humane side. And as a result, you would have had a lot less easy of a time accepting Celeste at all in the first place. How can I say this? Because aside from Kelly, before meeting Celeste, you'd barely had any fights with vampires (I still remember your "holy cow" reaction when I mentioned I'd taken down two vampires when you first joined), and your general reaction to most werewolves was to stuff TNT down their throat and laugh as it blew their heads off.
Ron has had no positive experiences with humane monsters prior to Celeste, and to top it off, he's had an entire childhood and youth growing up around people preaching about how all monstrous nonhumans are spawns of the devil and need to be destroyed on sight.
Despite that, Ron has made leaps and bounds for someone like him towards accepting Celeste. He has openly admitted that he knows she's doing her damnedest to fight for the benefit of mankind. He has also admitted that, should he ever be turned into any kind of a monstrous nonhuman, he would forfeit any chance of personal freedoms to be destroyed, and insure that he never harms an innocent. With that in mind, what you've perceived as "threats", Ben, have instead been promises from one ally to another; "I understand you value your freedom and are using it to protect innocents. If ever comes the day when that changes, I shall help stop you from harming more innocents than you already have by the time I find you." That's the way it sounds to me, anyway...
To be honest, in that regard, I stand next to Ron. I have a wife and son, and may have more children in the future... Should I ever get turned, I would rather be put down by a trusted friend than endanger my loved ones. That's not an easy request to make, nor is it an easy realization to come to...
So, please, Ben, stop antagonizing Ron. He's doing his damnedest... As a favor to me, please stop antagonizing him.
...
And Ron... Stop antagonizing Ben over his feelings towards Celeste. Love comes in a lot of forms... Ben may have to someday face that his feelings aren't what he thought they were. I've faced, in past relationships, the realization that I was more in love with the concept of being in love with that person than I was actually in love with them... That's not a fun thing to realize, and if he should ever have to face it, he'll need more friends and allies than folks to rub his nose in it and say "I told you so".
And if those feelings are romantic, and if Celeste did feel the same way towards him, then the relationship is doomed and damned from the start... Celeste has a soul, and for that reason, unless she ever becomes human again, the relationship is going to end in heartbreak for one or both of them. If she were to turn Ben, she'd have to face the fact that he'd just be a puppet, at that point, and that he'd still be intrinsically different from the way he had been if she figured out how to fully give him his freedom. If she doesn't turn Ben, he grows old and dies long before her time, unless some hunter gets lucky first.
And that's all one big hypothetical messy situation, running under the assumption that they both have genuine feelings for each other. No matter what scenario plays out, it's going to leave one or both of them hurt...
So Ron, please don't make matters worse than they are.
I'm sorry... I've said my piece, now. You're both brothers-in-arms, and I would like to see you both make peace... You're both good men. I wouldn't have gone so far out of my way for both of you if either of you weren't. I've gone across damned near the entire country for each of you, when a large part of me wanted nothing more than to stay home with my wife...but you're my friends, and I can't do that to either of you.
Please... Let this fighting stop.

My apologies for ruining your sleep. You really earned it today.
I ain't going to pull punches about what I observe.
I won't pretend that I like vampires - even when my firends consider one their friend.
I won't pretend that I think Ben is still the Ben I respected when he first came here. Something in him has changed and not for the better. I don't think he's himself and I think he needs help.
Maybe if I smack him hard enough he'll wake up to that.

If Ben needs help, then antagonizing him isn't going to help. I'm not saying you have to support him if you think he's setting himself up for fucking up...but people have tried doing what you're doing for centuries, and the target of such antagonizations only gets more provoked into thinking they're doing the right thing...and they villify their friends for antagonizing them.
I'm just saying, stop and re-think things... At this point, if he does need help, he's the only one who's going to be able to seek it. If anyone else does it for him, he's only going to resent it, and go further down the path he's already on.

Sorry, Ben... Maybe I'm just too non-confrontational for my own good, but I don't like seeing friends of mine fighting like this. It's why I don't have Adama around when my wife is... They fight pretty bad, too.
I dunno, man... Seems kinda bass-ackwards for the guy who's constantly at someone else's throat to tell the guy who's trying to play peace-maker to take some prozak...

Ben, I'm not staying the hell out of anything. You're both in the wrong, and you both know it. Now both of you, back the hell down, 'cuz I'm done watching two good men do this to each other...
Ben, if not for Kelly, you'd be damned close to the same way Ron is, so just drop it, dammit.

Good luck Ben. Oh! If you can, you should be able to take a car battery and hook it up directly to a car's headlights. With a little modification you should be able to wire a few batteries together and stack them up in one of my backpacks (wired together to boost amount of power not strength) then hook that up to one or two car high-beams. You can mount the light on a rifle stock if you have one (for ease of use). If you're really fancy you can rig it so a trigger pull turns on the lights.
