Re: Using this place as a sounding board
Sorry, something you just said stuck with me. He knows who the number one person who the police think informed on him is. He is unafraid to go into a place where all the police are looking for him to get some payback. He's well prepared to disappear. You're not just dealing with a random psycho, yo...

Re: Using this place as a sounding board
You don't have to be so harsh on him Kermode. I recall your story about abandoning some innocents to their fate with a kind of angry bear spirit or werebear. We all make mistakes. His heart was in the right place and, all and all, the bad guy now has a lot to worry about, so I don't think he's just...

It was quite a remarkable experience to finally get the chance to spend time with such a remarkable young lady. Hopefully my treatment regime goes as ...

Athena has been a most thorough and capable research partner to myself. However, if you are not much for lots of reading, a summary is a wise place to start.

Regretably no.
I haven't had much oppourtunity to get in contact with him I'm afraid. My current treatment regieme leaves me out of comission for weeks at a go.

Yes, however I do think there is enough of a pattern that anyone who thinks of entering into a relationship with such a creature is best advised to think of their own safety and stay away.

I believe you discussed your aversion to southern Manhattan a month ago in this thread: http://www.lazlosociety.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2061. While not my area of expertise, I have come across the theory of psychic echoes. Sometimes disasters and tragedies can be so intense as to leave their ma...

Something for me to puzzle over for a bit during my next debridement.
It looks like a variation of a substitution code, I'll have to see how hard it is to come up with a working key.

Re: Discovery in the Jungle
The literature and the mythology repeatedly points to humans foolhardy enough to work with therians almost inevitably coming to a grisly end or suffering the curse of therianothropy themselves.

There are more than a few cases of breeding in the myths, with these partners generally coming to heartbreak at best, if not being slaughtered by their monstrous lover or transformed into a beast themselves.

Pardon me if I may intrude. My expertise primarily focuses on the creatures known as therians, but I have a couple questions about your observations. First, were there two or four puncture wounds? Your report makes it sound like two, one either side of the neck, but I want to be sure. Second, were ...

Re: Before us
Ive been told that some therians feel their society predates our civilization. This is a part of their dislike of our civilization and their wish to dismantle it.
I don't know if this is true, but we must be prepared to accept that there were others on this earth for quite some time.

As interesting as this back and forth may be, one wonders if perhaps the chess metaphor is a tad misplaced? Police hunt masked 'werewolf' man who attacked woman walking
The victim, in her 40s, screamed in terror as the man rode up to her on a bike and hit her on the head Police are hunting a masked ‘werewolf’ man after a horrifying attack on a woman walking through a lonely country park. The Lay of the Werewolf
I have been called out for my highlighting the disturbing possibility that therianthropes have been infiltrating our governments and our society. My belief that this is occurring is based on my own research and recurring themes in the literature and mythology concerning the therianthropes. However,...

I can't recall an extinction purely due to predation without climate change, habitat destruction or the introduction of alien fauna into an ecosystem through anthropogenic vectors. Conservation as a conscious effort is a relatively new development among humans, but it remarkably resembles the natur...

Re: Discovery in the Jungle
Predation, even that by super predators, rarely causes the extinction of a species. Instead a level of equilibrium is reached where the ratio of predatos to prey allows both to survive. Before you point to the example of anthropogenic extinctions, the effects of human hunting cannot be looked at in...

Athena, If I may clarify the nature of the situation Mrs. Grant was describing. Many of the items being destroyed or stolen are physical items, not texts or illustrations. Also, many of them are one of a kind and/or extremely fragile. As a result simply duplicating them is not feasible. So while im...
