Re: South Bend, Indiana
Do I "know" she's strong enough? I'd give it a definate "maybe." She told me a story of when she was younger, her and a bunch of her schoolmates had a party at an abandoned barn in the middle of a field that hadn't been used in a long time. They had a bonfire, drinks, and were al...

Re: Old Ones
No, the ash was white, I thought it was sand at first (I do live in Florida) but was too fine and powdery. It was also quite windy that night.
As for the bag, no, no markings or anything, but it does have two beads, a red and green, on the ends of the tie.

Re: Old Ones
I have to say, the translation so far gives me the creeps. I'd have to so far guess that it's a lock keeping somthing out. Somthing to do with the Great Old Ones if that translation is anything to go by. I'm certainly not familiar with the language or even culture you have your assistant researching...

Re: Old Ones
I wish I could, but I didn't write down what they were, and didn't recognize the symbols. Everything else is correct. Any ideas on what it is?

Re: Old Ones
Yes, that is the basic design. And I did mean "infinity" the side-ways eight. I'm not sure what the symbol for "eternity" is off hand. As far as the mark I had on my chest, it was just a small redness, as if from a bit too much sunlight or heat.

Re: Old Ones
Well, it was two wheels...normally I'd say circles, but wheels is more appropriate because some of the symbols along the edge moved... and they were locked together, the one with the green stone in it's center laid on top of the red stone wheel. Disk also seems a good word to use. On the back, holdi...

Re: Old Ones
Actually, nothing really weird has happened the past few days. Over the weekend I had other things going on, so didn't really notice anything. Last night I remember waking up about three or so, and it was really hot in my room, but I fell back to sleep right away. Don't remember any dreams other tha...

Re: Old Ones
Well, I managed to get rid of the minor poltergeist. I was gone for the weekend, and when I got home last night there was no sign of it. Whatever was drawing it to my home seems to have gone away. Interesting you should mention the talisman, Doctor Boggs. I had the dream where it's laying on my ches...

Re: Friend left a warning?
True, but with what motive? Why do these "things" want it so badly that they would risk so much exposure. I would also note, the local law authorities seem pretty strange, atributing everything to "bear" attacks. Be careful with them.

Re: Old Ones
Opening portals I've found is a tricky business. There are several methods, but mine are always "spot" versions, and their destinations are always influcened by subconsious decisions and desires. I'll try to be more careful if and when I decide to do it again.

Sounds like you've had quite the time of it lately Joe. Too bad you couldn't get a good look at the "people" in the limo. I wonder if they were the same kind of creatures that you axed in your home, or if they were cult members. From what I've recently gone through I know cults are on the ...

Re: Giant snake, perhaps supernatural related?
Good story! I think this is a lot for just the fossil record...after all, the paleantoligist said the remains are related to modern day pythons. However, I don't doubt that many things in the natural world have connections to other places, even times. We all know of the different types of spirits an...

Re: Yuma Territorial Prison
Wearwolfs are a possability, but I'd probably assume, from the location described and the events, that it's one of the lost shaman spirits. After all the massacares and deaths of their followers there isn't much power left for them which is why they appear so insubstantial.

Well, I wouldn't mind sending them back where they came from, except it doesn't appear that it exists anymore...so I'll probably need to get another place for it(them). Clarity, you truly sound like an inspired person. I havn't considered trying to make friends with it(them) as I typically expect th...

Thank you Clarity, yes, I do tend to have bad dreams. These days they usually revolve around me being chased by somthing unknown and nameless...formless and hell bent on getting to me...to what end I do not know yet. And thank you Dr Boggs on your advice to mask my "presence" for a few day...

I admit I was curious as to where you had all gone and why...now I know. So where is this cave? Has anyone closed the rift yet?

Re: Old Ones--Spirits???
Thanks Dr Boggs...but it's not a big problem...I just don't want to go overboard like some of our aquaintances. They're not malevolent spirits--at least, not that I have seen-- just mischevious spirits moving things around, scaring the dog, giving bad dreams... Nothing I can't handle, just don't wan...

I don't know if a seditive would be a good idea, as when confronting that thing you'll need your guard up and your wits about you. Have you ever done any extensive meditation? One of the best tricks I've learned is how to put up a psychic shield. Imagine your in the middle of a nothingness...an empl...

Re: The Hallway Monster.
Sounds like a type of personal demon, or bogeyman...be careful of strong negative emotions around it. Things like that feed off of negative feelings like pain, anger, depression, loss.

Re: Anyone seen something like this beast before?
I use "xenop" to describe common garden variety supernatural creatures and demons, things that don't really have their own agenda beyond killing and maiming. I'd say a yeti, drider, low level demons...things without their own intelect.

Re: Anyone seen something like this beast before?
Well, my friend, I'm not sure what a whoopsie is exactly, but I won't judge you one way or the other on what you admire. I'm just glad it isn't what I thought it was, from your description it's just some kind of loose xenop that escaped...probably best to hund it down, track it back to it's lair and...

No, objects with a life of their own are not good... I woke up in the middle of the night with the thing laying on my chest. It left a small burn on my skin, which has faded throughout the day, and kind of got my blood boiling. The lynch-pin is still gone, but the thing is still joined. I've never s...

Hmmm...there's this thing that's been following me around, a talisman, two interlocking bracelets...or were. Now the ruby lynch-pin is missing but they were still together this morning.. I think it's made out of jade. I havn't been able to place it, or translate the runes or marks on it. Could it be...
