Re: The Hunt for Ron Caliburn
The girl I rescued in this post recently celebrated a birthday! She is happily living with my mentor Edward, and really has no firm memories of her time with the organization.

Re: Trip to Italy....and may need back up.
It is a beautiful city. I have traveled extensively, and seen many lovely places, but Venice has always been my favorite. Now that I no longer have to uproot myself every two weeks, I find it nice to have a more permanent home while I try and come to terms with this new life. Incidentally, should y...

Ron, blushing? Two words I would never have thought could be used in the same sentence.
You know, if doofuses 1 & 2 had really known you as well as they thought, they'd probably still be breathing right now. You may be a hardass, but you are an honorable man.

Re: The Only Way to Abolish War is to Make Peace Heroic
A noble achievement, to be sure. And yet, one that is beyond the bulk of the human race.
I say this not because i, as in past lives, hold no faith in Man, but because Man needs conflict to truly know himself.
How can you know peace, without having known war.

Perhaps.
But perhaps I also didn't phrase the question right. What would peace mean, without war?

As someone who has taken more than their fair share of heads, I can tell you that it is more than a little creepy to watch.
Odd though, I have never been squeamish about it before. Why am I now?

Re: THE COUNTDOWN TO FORTY BEGINS!
A happy, if belated, 40th birthday to you Cybermancer. In the spirit of a past life, I would like to point something out though. Taking into account both the average life span of an american male (80's), and the current age of your wife, I think it is safe to say that you are entering a mid-life cr...

Re: Trip to Italy....and may need back up.
A rough translation indeed. Though I will admit that the phrases are quite ambiguous, and I doubt I could do better. Several of the words do have multiple meanings. Interfectorm could mean assassin, but it could also mean killer or destroyer. Natique could also mean destined. I am currently staying...

It was a brazen effort - 8 or so of them just knocked out my kitchen door and ran right in, armed with automatic weapons and in non-human form.
My question is, what kind of therianmorph uses guns in the first place?

Better be careful, twins are a handful.
On another note, I am glad you are going with the Grant name. Had you named your son Arthur Caliburn, I would have never let you live it down.

Re: The Hunt for Ron Caliburn
I had tracked Ron across the Blight, struggling to keep following his trail through the pervasive miasma of emotions that saturated this urban pit. I stopped on a street corner for a moment, and rubbed my temples. I could feel a monster headache brewing. This ritual was a big help in tracking Ron, ...

Re: The Dark Lady
I can't help but draw unpleasant parallels between this, and my own experience. Belladrox was able to escape a similar spell by sending an infinitesimaly small portion of himself into the soul of one of the practitioners who bound him. My ancestor Johann Fenix, a man of questionable morals. A trait...
