Re: With heavy heart
Our criminal justice system is way fucked up. I hope you have a good lawyer. Best of luck. You're going to need it.

Re: Quantum Mechanics and Parrallel Worlds
The paper apparently leaves out UV divergences, however, a real problem for any unifying attempt.
Another way to find these dimensions is to observe Newtonian gravity fail.

HK.
I can. Although I'd bet that the fangs and pitchforks occasionally organized hunting parties.

Re: Technology Project
Hey. I chose it because I'm a pyro. I'm studying astronomy but I'm currently failing miserably at it. How I got into it is a perverse story that maybe I'll share another time. But for now I'm just living life. No doubt the name is way more noble than I am (or possibly ever will be). Our mechanic is ...

Yep. Perhaps not even an abiogenic one.

Re: Destrution of ancient relics
I wonder if the Akashic Record ever suffers data loss. More to the point: what about non-physical storage? Gives me an idea to bring up to our mechanic. A device imbued with total recall should be able to perfectly store data. Perhaps some invocation or ritual could imbue an object with perfect memo...

Re: Technology Project
Hey Athena. I think the simple answers are "sure" and "it depends". The more complete answers are much more complex and would be a whole lot of speculation. Besides the usual human psychological factors when it comes to this subject I think that for us in this field there might b...

Re: Discovery in the Jungle
Why would have to be dependent on the human population for disease wipe it out? Poaching might be a bad example. It is done for monetary gain. If there were no money in it, there would be practically none of it. There is reason underneath most ways you want to look at it. There is reason why they co...

Sorry for subjecting you to a pet peeve of mine and I apologize for not contributing to the substance of this post. "Begging the question" is a logical fallacy and not the same thing as "raising the question".

Certainly we could benefit from having our own allies in government(s) but, as usual, that comes with its own set of headaches that will sometimes make it seem as if it's not worth it. It also makes one wonder what, precisely, is PPE. Other kinds of energy can be expressed in mathematical equations ...

Re: Toasters and talismans
Hey Red Thunder thanks for the reply. We have wrapped up this case over the weekend. It was a Happy Valentine's Day just not in the way I would have liked. The device did not work and that is indeed because what we were dealing with was a demon-worshiping human. Maybe next time. And I'm sure that we...

Yea nobody is sure what is going to happen but now we're looking to try out a new prototype. Not sure when it's gonna happen. Or what's gonna happen when it does.

Toasters and talismans
We managed to re-purpose some bread toaster toasting coils along with some aquamarine crystals to get a device that is quite effective against the supernatural by using the drying touch power. It's expensive from a P.P.E. perspective, though, so now our arcanist is doubling his efforts at find the t...

That's the spirit! I'm a believer in putting my money where my mouth is. I'm also a believer in sharing and learning. Any evidence of Lazlo's description of the paranormal world is welcomed. Any evidence of dimensional cross over is welcomed. We have so far been unable to rule out that these monster...

Re: Quantum Mechanics and Parrallel Worlds
It is not how it is understood now. It is only one of several models that avoids the wavefunction collapse and makes a world that appears indeterministic be deterministic. It's a matter of personal preference and philosophy, not science. The same is true of Lazlo's Potential Psychic Energy. There is...

Re: Quantum Mechanics and Parrallel Worlds
The notion that the Many Worlds Interpretation has the ability to call for anything from another universe isn't found anywhere in the interpretation's mathematics. The Many Interacting Worlds Interpretation does not provide it as well. It just makes the world deterministic, essentially Newtonian. Th...
