Sorry if I have been "invisilbe" as of late. Been busy dealing with Ba'al and their cults of night. (Isnt it like every time I dissappear, I am involved somehow with the Cult of Night?)

Anyways, if any of you folks need me, it might be easier to send me a private message then making a general post. I have my message system tied to my email and I have blackberry on me at all times.

Anyways, I am in the Chicagoland region. Kei, sorry I couldnt help you on your dig. Let me know if you go back down to the dig site, I can provide security if need be. Looking forward to meeting you when we "spar".

You’ve mentioned this “cult” before, Andrew. What is it? Didn’t Mr. Priest disappear when he went after it?

Yea, it is definitely one of the more harder cults to bust.

Maybe a Society-wide effort could advance things along?

Yes he did unfortunately. I have been somewhat more successful in fighting and invesitigating them when they are found. I had started my hunt of them back home in Britain. that is also when I discovered my "abilities" to help hunt the darkness that surrounds us.

This is where I prefer big explosions and maybe an artillery barrage. It just helps speed things up.

Anyone: "Ok! We've finally found out where they're HQ is!"

Bert: "Great! I'll go get my Howitzer!"

Mr. Pendragon, send me an adress by which I can have soem data sent to you by secure courier. I will send you a copy of the valid references from my archive regarding the Ba'al.

Some of it is valid, othe bits are confused and distorted by retelling and time. I belive you may be particularly interested in the file that I used to compile a map that shows the locations and activity level of know activity by a wide variety of groups that claim to serve an ancient messpotamian entity, or perhaps group of entities known as Ba'Al Nect. Any additions that you can make to the files and maps would be apreciated.

The thing with cults is you have to go all the way to the top to bust them.

It is sort of like busting an insurgency, at least in the traditional counterinsurgency school of thought.

Is the cult moving forward in some fashion? Could we possibly send someone undercover to infiltrate these “Preservers”?

Definitely might be time for the Society to throw a little more of its collective weight into the mix.

But we do not want to many cooks in the kitchen as well.

Plus, you don't know what kind of safe-guards they have within to prevent infiltration. I think for the most part the "Preservers" are very misguided individuals who have no clue what is really behind their party.

That is exactly the case of the cult Ron and I busted in Missouri.

Wholesale wiping out the cult kills some people that probably don't deserve it.

I am not seeking to be a "cook" merely a facilitator. I have thousands of years of activity by various cults and religious organizations cataloged by organization, likely ties, as well as dates and locations. (the cyclical pattern of cult influence in certain cites is particularly fascinating)

I am merely offering access to a small portion of the data that I have compiled, particularly those reports that reference Ba'Al. Not sure if these will be helpfull, but I do hope so.

I would not be of much use as a “cook” in this scenario; recognizing a blind girl would be far too easy. But I’ll do what I can.

I had infiltrated the cult before but had to cut ties with my links to my insiders. they had been killed trying to find me.

I was not suggesting anything. I was just saying that too much enthusiasm can be a bad thing.

Yea that's quite a bummer of a set back. Getting inside info is essential.

If someone would talk to Mr. Greydawn into letting me I could infiltrate the cult and get information out most cults I have studied prey on the young and hehe naive and I know I can pull that off with ease and with the training Mr. Greydawn has given me I can most definently can protect myself.

Except from stupidity. Never post such sensitive material on a PUBLIC forum.

Noobies.

Sophoroto while your offer is very brave, but you do not understand just how dangerous the Cult of the Night is.
Also while Konrad's statment is harsh it is also right. For you to even think of trying such a task you would need a great deal more experience.

Sophoroto, I suggest becoming someone entirely different before attempting such an activity at this point, or abandoning it alltogether.

You have posted the intent to infiltrate, and cause harm to a group that has shown a blatant disregard for the value of human lives other than as sacrifices to their dark masters.

Has anyone thought of the baclash that will riple through their ranks if they read that post? A definate reduction in the lifespan of their new recruits for the forseeable future, which also makes it much more dificult for anyone else to infiltrate said community.

I will send you some files from the archives that indicate assorted methods and levels of operational security by assorted groups who do that sort of thing day in and day out. Your error was not one of stupidity, but rather one of inexperience.

Mr. Ghostspider and Mr. Shadowstalker, thank you for being the ones to repremand Sophoroto, for he respects your oppinions greatly, and just so you know I have told him that in no uncertain terms is he to do anything of the sort and that he made a grave error in judgement for posting it in public veiw.

He sends his appolagies for any inconvieniance he caused anyone with his lack of experience and hopes that you will forgive his ignorance.

Greydawn sir, there is nothing to forgive. We were all like Sophoroto once. He is brave and with a little more experience, I feel he will become a valuable member to the Society.

Mr. GhostSpider I was merely passing on what he ask me to.

The insiders I had contact with, were not people that infiltrated the Cult. They were proven members that I "turned" to assist me. Infiltration by a lone individual is dangerous and could turn you into someone to be hunted. From my understanding the Cult of Night uses magic in most of its initiation ceremonies. Those that go initiation that dont react the way the Cult wants are cast out and usually "captured" to be used as sacrifices.

And for those concerned with my detailing what I know, I am doing this with the intent of luring out some of recent assailants. Most of the tactics I employed are used by the various Alphabet soup agencies of the world. NSA, CIA, MI-5/6, etc...

Visual acuity is not the issue.

Contrast is.

And I take that as a 'yes' answer to my question.
