Happy fathers day!

Post by Koralth »

To everyone out there that has a child they look after, and care for: Happy fathers' day! I missed it this year, but maybe next year...? :P

We'll see what Logos says when she reads that.

As for my own father, he will not be getting a card. Frankly he's lucky not to be getting the finger.

Heh, thank you, too, Kei. ^_^

Julian just turned 8 months this past week... He's growing fast, too. He's working out sounds and syllables, he just cut his third and fourth teeth, he's taking to crawling pretty well, and he can pull himself up to standing without much problem. ^^

And he reaches for his daddy whenever his daddy's in the same room as him. ^^;

Happy Father's Day to all the dads.

KT, that's great!

Zack... Logos might give you a smack upside the head for that one.

Yea, happy fathers' day and all that... Zack, talk like that in public and your chances for being a father anytime soon will disappear.

No, I won't hit him for it, Bert, but this does mean that we have to have a long talk.

We didn't mark Father's day back in the compound (too commercial, smacks of idolatry and Honor thy Mother and Father was considered a year round thing). But being out here for so long . . . with Hannah in there . . .

We made this a special day for the both of us.

I am betting it was something a tad more normal, remember Hannah is getting used to what we call day to day life.

My daughter took me to dinner then to a play I have been wanting to see. I can't say no to her when she asks me to go some where or do something with her.

Hey, when you find mine, then I'll celebrate. Until then, it's just another Sunday.
You traded in your wings
For everything freedom brings
You never left me
You never let me
See what this feeling means

Everything that you feel
Is everything that I feel
So when we dream
We shout....

She's a very special girl. The animals just know a really good person when they see one :D

Yeah Shadow and I have taken the girls to the Zoo, and to the Museums in D.C. for fun, it was a blast. It is like I have two new little sisters, or nieces more like as they gave Shadow a Fathers day card this last Sunday.
You should have seen his face when he got the card it was priceless, and I have pictures to.

I think we need to post that somewhere . . .

This wasn't just animals knowing a good person . . . I think Hannah was talking to them . . . and vice versa.

Most of us can't talk to animals. And vice versa.

That's probably for the best. Most humans have a hard enough time just getting along with eachother without getting any lip from the family beagle too

I don't think it's strange. ^_^ But then again, I talk to the animals, too, when I get the chances.

Which, granted, isn't often enough these days...

I also think you get more out of talking to the critters than I do... I "speak" in emotions, body language, and whatnot... I don't think they understand more than that when I speak to them. That's part of my druidic training, though... Speaking to them on their own level.

Ever since you've been talking about talking to animals, though, I get the very distinct impression that you speak on a much deeper level than that...

Wouldn't surprise me, Hannah has always seemed to have a deep conection to Nature I think.
I still remember that forrest I saw in her dreamscape, it was like nothing she could have ever experianced. When I asked her about it once she said it had always been in her dreams?

Well Ron, I currently have at my disposal a large selection of books dealing with a wide range of paranormal subjects. I'm sure that there is something in here that will help.

There is.

Care to elaborate?

No.
