Repair Work Is Looking Pretty Good

Post by The Traveler King »

Went down to the offices today and you can barely tell there was a problem. The only thing that gives it away is the new "office equipment". If you think computer monitors are thin now, you haven't seen anything yet. Can't divulge the other stuff, at least not yet.

This Loki situation's turning real interesting on our end, though. It appears that he's been busy with other projects besides what he boasted about here. We did some backtracking and it looks like he's been seen with some of Mr. Randolph's business competitors. Well, well... I may have to pay a visit to corporate.

So Loki had some friends helping him? Please keep us informed?

Always nice when you have to tie off a dead guy's loose ends.

Hit Squirrel took care of one for me.

Plenty more to go...

Looks like there's a lot of loose ends. The thread connecting Loki to this particular corporate competitor means that there is at least a peripheral connection to some other figures that cause some concern. I have a sneaking suspicion that some of that ties back into references to Ba'al made on this board.

And what's with the "your highness", Ron?

No problem, I was half asleep when I posted. The five a.m. start times at work are a pain to have to get used to again.

Okay, here's what I've pulled up. Hold on to your britches folks, because this is a big one. Kolya, did you ever hear of something called Sigma Station? Well, that was a project funded by the financial holdings of one Phillip Donaldson. At least that's the name he goes by currently. Phillip Donaldson is one of the big shareholders in Macrotech and an avowed Preserver.

It's no secret that Donaldson and the Randolph family don't get along. Macrotech attempted a hostile takeover of REC back in the late 1980's, but was thwarted by some important American and Japanese investors-- plus a full-on investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission. They were trying to get their hands on our research, because, rumor has it, their own work had hit a couple of snags.

You know, one of the lab techs actually used that line on Debunker when he came to visit. Debunker was not impressed. :)

I wonder where he is now. I hope that he's well.
