Wish there were photos.

Scientific explanation or not - still dang creepy.

I agree. Frogs falling from the sky would just be old testament freaky.

Yeah...but that's far from the first time it's happened. Like the story says, it's a recognized phenomenon.

Still, yeah, I think I'd be pretty creeped out if it rained frogs around here...

Eh, probably a tornado nearby that tossed the frogs up.

He was always good to knock you back to reality.

I dunno... That movie that just came not too long ago probably pissed god off to no end... I mean, he'd never use the same tricks twice, right? He's gotta show us that he can come up with NEW plagues without the help of movie directors.

Uh... Yes, it is an extraordinary but observable occurrence. Thanks, Ransom.

Hi Everyone,

Obviously God is sendin' everyone a sign by makin' this happen. He wants people ta remember He exists and ta follow their bibles - else he'll hafta move from the creepy to the wrathful.

Hannah

PS At least that is what these things were supposed ta mean when I leanred about 'em.

Sadly, Hannah, that's not really the case, here... A tornado picked up a swarm of frogs, carried them a ways off, and dumped them unceremoniously on a town. It's happened a lot before; it'll continue to happen. It's sad, because it kills the frogs...and sorry, I don't believe that an act of Creator should or would kill innocent animals just to get a point across.

No other debris, animal or otherwise, arrived with the frogs?

Not according to the story. If they were taken from a lake though the moisture would have been possibly lost in the atmosphere.

In all honesty, would you want to report on excess debris? It detracts from the shock of your news story... "It rained frogs, rain, splinters, straw, and bits of pebbles and some other stuff" just doesn't have the same shock value as "OMG FROGZORZ!!1"

I'm not saying for sure there was or wasn't; I'm only saying that it's doubtful that a news reporter looking to write an article to an audience with tastes that the American audience is known for would report on other debris raining down with the frogs.

It happened before with a similar "event" being a river of blood. They reported it, but happened toleave out the disturbing fact that a slaughterhouse was hosing down its killing floor into the river instead of using proper drainage. People were more enticed by the event than the facts. People see what they want to, and always will.

"Why don't shut up and die already. You aren't getting out no matter how hard you try. The girl is dead and gone no matter what these here folks say. Ben killed them all, so let him suffer like he deserves!"

Correct, and I agree with you, but someone maybe saw something, and independent investigation could find such witness... maybe.

"Why do I know you. You are so familiar, I can see the words, but not the face. He knew you....he tried to warn you. To bad for him. I have no quarrel with you, yet, M'lady. But I do know you."

Worst pickup line ever, Evil Ben. Don't you know that "Do I know you?" never works?!

Does he pick unreadable fonts just to annoy us?

I have to highlight his posts just to read them.

Well, I would have to if I actually read them.

Ditto...except I do read them. I like getting my daily allotment of chuckles.

I wonder what kind of velocity and air time those frogs got. Imagine taking one to the side of the head or something. But I guess with all the other debris raining down you would have already taken cover.

Someone's got a story.

Well these things typically don't mention live frogs hopping around after the storm.

Heh, yea, but what I was getting at, someone was outside for this storm and knows what was happening. Small rocks falling on me, I will run inside the barber shop here. Oh frog guts all over....

I don't suppose you've heard of Beavis and Butthead over there . . . or a little thing called Frogball.

Ron knows of Beavis And Butthead? Next he will say he has seen South Park? Two shows that are perhaps among the worst examples of the dumbing down of TV.
