Not So Basic Training

In two days time at a place I will disclose to interested parties that PM me, I will be training those who come in every combative method I know.

Hand to Hand Skill.

Weapons Training.

Combat Theory and Practice.

Special Weapons and Tactics for Defeating the Unnatural, Supernatural, and Preternatural.

Extras if Time Allows.

I will provide transportation if need be.

If anyone wishes to learn but can not join us, I know it is short notice but I fear time is short, I will travel around and teach what I can to whom I can.

If anyone wishes to come and teach their own techniques and tactics, you are very welcome to.

I don't know magic. I don't have any psychic powers. I'm not a vampire or a werewolf or an immortal. I kill things just fine. Even if you are specially empowered there is still plenty to learn. Every tool in your kit is one more innocent you can save, one more day you can live, one more monster you can watch dissolve at your feet.

Training starts this Saturday and continues until whenever you have to leave or I run out of things to teach.

Villains are welcome too. I'll need plenty of targets for practice.

If you like I could offer a basic investigation course as well maybe? Information gathering is a useful tool and weapon.

Absolutely. Shoot me a PM for the location.

I would be interested. Always wanting to improve on the talents and skills I have.

Public Warning Guys!

There will be Supernatural people there of varying degrees. Any attempts to slay these Lazlo Society Members or Allies will be met with a quick, bullet ridden death.

"Sounds to me like you still chasing some tail boss. Tell them the truth Bert, that werewolf who tends bar at The Brick is gonna be in attendance. For what reason? Obedience training.

I should have put that bitch down like the rabid dog she is. Perhaps Mr. Caliburn would do the honors. I would have asked Azrael, but he ain't feeling too well right now from what I hear. Shame about that sword of his.

And I'ld be careful about this little shindig of yours boss, sounds like your getting all militarized. Maybe your just trying to relive your glory days sir. Maybe pave your path with another layer of corpses.

See ya soon boss."

Due to other concerns I can't be there myself, But my team mate Athena will be. She can still instruct as well as I can, Also right now she maybe a bit more patient.
On another note Gale has asked me are you going to have anyone teach first aid or the like, if not she would be willing to?

Last I checked - these are Bert's glory day.

Well thank you Ron.

And nope, so she's more than welcome to come and teach First Aid etc. and Athena is more than welcome to come in your stead.

No worries on the supernaturals Bert, I've worked with their likes before.

Also, looking forward to meeting everyone who'll be in attendance.

I believe the warning was for me. But I will be there to learn, not to hunt. I have more pressing concerns in my new hometown than to start another internal war in the society.

As long as they can play nice, I will do the same.

I am glad to see that you are not as narrow minded as you seemed in your previous posts ont the topic of supernaturals Mr. DarKnyght.

Mr. Turtle I would like to send Sean, Mitch, Jackson, and Timothy to you for training so that I don't have to worry about losing them as I did Greg and Kelly.

Oh, I still believe as I have posted, but there are more pressing matters that need dealt with. I am not going to create enemies while they are aiding my cause.

But don't expect me to be becoming best friends with those I one day may have to hunt. It is an alliance of necessity, not preference.

Certainly Grey, just send me a PM with the details.

Bert, you definetly have to make this a yearly thing. Thanks to you I now know how to shoot an RPG. :D

Oh, and it was alot of fun to teach the sword training class.

Haha, yeah! Once you can build your own you can create specialty warheads too. My most useful are Silver Fragmentation.

Yeah, next year there'll be more planning involved too. I dashed around getting everything prepared at the last minute.

I'm glad you had a good time instructing as well. You were quite a skillful teacher.

Yeah, thanks for the training. Although I still cannot hit anything with automatic rifle on a regular basis at least I now some of the basics of caring for them.

And it was fun to put my sword training to the test against someone else that was trained.

Perhaps next year I can show some of you the proper use of a shotgun and less than lethal weaponry.

Sounds good.

Getting much use from the CheyTac?

Posted: Thu Apr 12, 2007 12:25 pm
by Bert_the_Turtle
Not too much. Its definitely the sort of weapon I wouldn't get regular use out of. But when I need it I'll really really need it.

Well if anybody asks you about it on the firing range, make sure to give 'em my number. I should be back in buisness by summer.

Alright! Will do.

I think for the time being I will stick to handguns and shotguns.

Well that and knives, swords, rocks, baseball bats, other blunt objects, etc.

by Ron Caliburn
Shotguns and handguns are good things to be familiar with in this line of work.

Perhaps picking up a nice Carbine is about the only thing someone wh's not a weapons specialist might also realistically want.

by DarKnyht
I thought about that, but I don't see myself carting around both a shotgun and rifle along with all my tech gear.

Posted: Thu Apr 12, 2007 6:58 pm
by Bert_the_Turtle
Shotguns are pretty versatile, so that'd be my first choice in your position.

Posted: Thu Apr 12, 2007 9:55 pm
by Ron Caliburn
The carbine would be an alternative to the shotty - when you need more penetrative power or range or a higher magazine capacity.

by DarKnyht
So far I've never fought anything where I was able to snipe from a distance. Most of the time I am defending myself from something more than attacking.

However, that is probably going to be changing and it might do me good to invest in a rifle. I really do not like the idea of getting up close and personal to a vampire.

by Ron Caliburn
Again why I suggested carbine. Better ranged performance than a shotty, less bulk and weight than a full sized rifle.

Also civie legal.
