What Dreams are made of OR Answer to he mystery of the Sock

Post by Shadowstalker »

Ok I will try to relate what happened to Bert and I. Well first off we went into that laundromat, as I had already said it was closed but the front door waas open. Forced to be honest. We were looking for the girl there was something in there besides us.
Bert saw something move he went after it but it vanished into a apperantly solid wall. Next thing I knew Bert had gone missing himself. As I got to where I last saw him, I was feeling for a trap door or something, and I found it but it wasn't a trap door it was a portal leading to a Chute that I slid down landing in a heap next to Bert.
In front of us were mountains of laundry One of Socks another of Underthings, and so forth. But we were not the only ones there, there were these ugly little humanoids with these ridicules looking back packs on stuffed with so much stuff they had to be 2 to 4 times heavier than the beings carrying them.
It was at this point Bert pointed at them and yelled "DWARVES, I knew it." this of course got their attention, and that was not a good thing.
More later.

Well let me contiue. As I said the Bert had yelled, and that had gained us some unwanted attention, The I don't know what they were they looked like Goblins or the like to me, well they heard Bert and seemed to turn and look at us almost a one, they looked at us for a moment and then one of them yelled "KILL THEM!!", this lead to all of them pulling weapons mostly knives, straight razors, and the like but I saw a few guns.
Bert and I started to move amidst a flurry of choice curses from both of us, we both brought our weapons to bear and were ready to fire when we noticed that the tac, lights we had on our weapons were causeing a problem for our would be attackers.
So instead of waste ammo we started to use our lights to keep them at Bay, but the ones that had guns started to take potshots at us. I said to bert we have to leave before one of them gets a lucky shot. So we moved to the nearest exit we could see and tossed a Flash bang each to them. We got though the door just as the flash bangs went off, we heard a chorus of screams, and curses behind us.
We found ourselves in a hallway ,I did a quick scan and felt that to the left was less of a threat so we went that way. As we moved through the hall I saw rooms off to the sides, in all of them the light levels were low. One of the rooms I noticed had what looked like a batting cage in it, but it was full of broken Lamps, vases, and such, as wellas what looked like Blood?
I am going to take a break again I will continue this later.

Sorry I am just telling you what happened, as for how we ended up in Russia, well I think you can thank our new friend Tabitha for that.

Ok, ok, my fault for yelling. It was out of character for me, but it was a wholly disturbing incident. And yes, I didn't want to risk a pitched fight without knowing where we were, what was going on, etc. For all I knew there were them, and then a million others behind the mound of socks.

Ron, you'll see how all this mess ends up with us in Russia.

And no, I have no clue what the deal is with the sock obsession going around. But I think we stumbled onto something big. BIG Big.

Bert the whole situation was Weird from the start, even for me and I am used to traveling in not only the Astral but the Dream Stream as well. Tabitha Called the Place "Domhain Dorcha, the Realm of Nightmares" And she was not kidding.

I dunno, but the place was full of either: Missing Things (you should've seen the MOUNTAIN of missing buttons!) or Things missing Other Things! (a herd of three-footed rabbits for example).

Ok Bert, I didn't see a herd of three footed rabibits, I did however see the mountain of buttons. Bert you were acting a tad out of character for you a couple of times there, I think it was something about that place effecting you? Considering the fact that place was so closely tied to the Dream Stream may be why you were effected, I don't know?

With all that was happening with Not Me . . . I was surprised I didn't see the sorts of things Bert was describing.

I used to live with folks who did see that all the time.
