Anyone willing to take some R&R in Japan?

I found out why my office in Tokyo was destroyed by a "natural gas leak". Why my "investigators" have been being removed.

1. There is a being of great age, who is not human, that has taken controll of one of the Triad organizations.

2. Said being wants to aquire 3 very specific items for some purpose or another.

3 Said being requires controll of the shadows of night within my area of controll, to accomplish it's tasks.

4. Given the purpose of said 3 objects, they cannot be allowed to leave the archipelago, nor can they be allowed to rest in non-human hands.

I would normally see to it that this is taken care of myself, but given the nature of the items sought, and my current predicament (the consulate insisted that I be before a grand jury as immediately as possible), I am requesting aid.

Under normal circumstances I would post the 3 items that are being persued here. But given their nature all I will say about them is, they are ancient, they are beyond price, and I would gladly sell all of my influence as well as every one of my possessions to keep them in Japanese hands.

Anyone willing and able to go on a "treasure hunt" where you dont get to keep the treasure, plese let me know.

I will give an update on the nature of the three items I seek to any who accept when the transport is in the air. (send me a PM for details)

There are a few of you I would openly tell the nature of these three artifacts, but you should already be able to guess.

I have to insist on knowing what these three objects are before I get involved, honestly. Could you at least give use that much information?

I can, but not in such a public manner. If you ask (and I belive you would help) I will send the names of said items.

Alright. I'll see about rearanging my remaining vacation time if I can, or you'll only be able to see me for a handfull of hours every day...

Actualy, what the hell... I have that money saved from Hollister. I'll see if they'll let me take an emergency break for health reasons or somthing. Worthy cause to spend some of that cash over.

That will not be necessary. I will quite gladly pay any and all costs incurred.

If the gathering is successfull, I will expect the group to observe me as I turn them over to the correct persons for safekeeping. (And to kill me if I prove weak and refuse to give them up - I am not the sort of man to allow to posses them)

As for compensation, I consider placing these items in the right hands to be a "Pearl of Great Price". Name your price, If I can arrange it, it will be yours - If I cannot, you will just have to settle (as a group) for the entirety of my holdings.

Just reimburse me for lost wages if that's what I need. Other than that, I'll be fine.

I'll be doing this for the honor of having been part of this mission. That alone is enough for me.

You are too kind. It will be an honor to work with you.

(your name might not become publicly known over this, but I would value the respect of those who will know more highly than any international acclaim. I know that those who help will be very highly honored in certain circles that I am certain you would all find usefull in this line of work)

I am recovering my spirit slowly. If I can do anything to help from here, please, let me know.

I will keep you updated, KonThaak. I hope you recover quickly, and well. I look forward to the honor of having you as a guest in my home.

I guess it is just us.

AdamaGeist - are you going to look for leads on the unlocated, attempt to gather the unclaimed, or attempt to recover the stolen? I will be lending aid in a more direct fashion as soon as I am allowed to travel again.

KonThaak - any independant reasearch on "The White Tiger of Jusenkyo" you can get done would help greatly. (It would be nice to know what the leader of the opposition is - I have seen him get up after a JHP to the back of the head left an impressive exit wound, an hour later you couldnt even tell he had been hit)

Hey, I -do- have some power in Japan. If need be, I can call in favors, both from my dojo and the Hiramatsu Clan. That and if the means to get there is provided, I can make a run and join you guys.

Be nice to get a feel for the Origin of the Sun before I wind up living there in about a year and a half.

Glad to have your help. Tell me where to send a transport. Details will be cleared while in the air.

Alright, this is going to be tricky... Ashikaga-san, if you could get me a safe-house to rest in, I'll be down there in a half-hour at worst. I lack a valid passport and papers, and the way I'll be going, I won't be going through customs.

I'll be going after the one your opponents have already recoverd... To be honest, it's been a long-standing dream of mine to hold any one of these items, if only for a few minutes.

Guys, seriously, if anyone else can join in and help on this, it will be appriciated.

This is really out of my field of expertise. Now if you need the items blown to smithereenies let me know.

you know... I would volunteer, but if the three items you speak of are what I think they are, I doubt I'd have a chance against anything that could actually get to them.

Robin: They probably are.

Drop me a line, tell me what you're capable of doing... I may be able to outfit you up with some nice accoutrements, so you can volunteer for the job, after all.

That is, provided that you're serious about volunteering. Adventuring isn't as glamorous as the bards and storytellers make it sound.

I should know.

I'm both an adventurer (NOT by choice!) and a storyteller.

I thank all of you that have gone to my home to help with this. I apologise for the escorts (they are capable, and observant - each is also a grade 7 diplomatic translator), but I thought as westerners, you would attract less attention with a guide/translator. (I oppologise for any offence that may have been taken, the ruse is for the deception of observers, not distrust of all of you.)

No no, its fine. I'm learning Japanese anyway. It's a chance to improve my skills and converse a little bit more.

Heh... I'm glad for it. I can't speak Nipponesse worth a damn. A translator is VERY helpfull...

Stupid mental glitch, I just add words to my vocabulary, instead of being able to translate.

The goal is not to translate then speak on the language, but to think then speak.

I remember learning English. The teacher growled if she thought we think in Russian, translate the thought on English, and then speak. Well, seems she growled constantly at us. Anyway....

I thank you all for helping while I was "detained". Now that I am here we might be able to bring more pressure to bear on the issue. (the more preassure I apply on all fronts the more invisible you will be)
